If you could buy any car you wanted, what would you get? Would you get a flashy expensive car to show off? Would you buy a reliable car and not care what anybody else says? Would it be an American car or an import?

I'd get the Mazda3 hatchback like I'm getting from my parents, but then get a custom paint job to make it either metallic, slightly-orange yellow or a metallic, reddish burnt orange. If trading in an equally-peppy but more fuel-efficient engine (or electric) was possible, that'd be awesome.
Edit: Or honey-colored. Something in the yellow-orange-burnt orange range of metallics!
Edit Edit: and being able to flip down all seats but the drivers could be nice, like the Toyota Matrix

I'd get a red mini cooper with a union flag on top and racing stripes on the front.

I saw a car today while waiting for the bus that I quite liked. It looked a bit like a mini but had more swoopy lines. I don't know exactly what it was but it was new. Maybe that.
Really though I would probably buy an old reliable used pick up truck. I don't think I'll ever be a city driver really, so whenever I go all rural I'll be rockin' the old pick up. Something broad with a bench seat in the front.

A 60's Cadillac convertible. I love Cadillacs and I love my Seville, but I want something that screams "classic" too. Something that has fins and a mean looking front end

A Mercedes Benz. I want to buy American, and Mercedes does have some plants in the USA, so I'd try to buy one of those. Mercedes is a classic car and they last forever.
The last time we bought a car, (Used as always) I had a chance to get a good deal on a Mercedes C Class (their more affordable car) but My Man was afraid of the upkeep costs. We bought a PT Cruiser and it's been nothing but trouble. We should have bought that Mercedes.

A fully loaded Acura MDX will ALL of the bells and whistles - from the advanced entertainment and audio package, to the black leather seats and wood-grain interior all the way to the cargo net/divider and cooler. At list it would run $61,219. And it would be worth every penny.
