If you're working with food in general, I would definitely stay home with a fever that high until your temperature goes back to normal.

If treated with advil or tylenol, it's very possible you could bring it down - BUT - the most likely contagious virus or infection causing the fever will still be there. Best to stay home.

A fever that high is a good indicator of an infection. The fever going down doesn't mean you don't still have the infection. The rule they have for kids is that you can't return to school until 24 hours have passed without a fever—to ensure you are not still contagious.

Stay home and get a doctor's note. That's what I do so it's on record.

Pain can also result in a fever, especially if your IBS is flaring that badly. Do you have any other symptoms that are compatible with an infection?

i would think working with fast food or any food for that matter would be an even greater reason to not go to work. Liability...

Even if you didn't work in the food industry I would strongly advise you to stay home. Not only are you probably contagious, but you need rest to get over it. You'll just run yourself ragged and make your illness worse by trying to work with a fever.

I doubt you feel good enough to work anyway.

They would really give you grief for not coming to work when you have a fever? That's just wrong.

Wow what sort of fast food joint would want sick employees to come in? If you have a fever, I'd say stay home.
