I am a keeper-- I had a banana in my fridge until it turned black and brown. I don't know when to say no, hahaha.
How old are your leftovers before you finally throw them out?

Cooked food, probably 3 days. But fresh food goes when it seems bad.

My wife throws things away after a week. I would wait a little longer for most things, but it just depends on how badly I want to eat them.

A week, but it depends on the item. Most of our foods are very spicy, which inhibits most bacterial growth.

I'd say maybe 4-5 days, if it doesn't get eaten the next day. I'm sometimes guilty of pushing food to the back of the fridge and forgetting it.

Depends on what kind of food it is. If it's safely stored, could be a few days to a week. I usually eat them in a day though.

Depends on the food type. Generally if it isn't eaten in 4 days--it will never be.....

a couple of days. they get eaten the next day most of the time.

Oh dear. You don't want to know. Lol. Basically, as long as it ain't got mold growin' on it yet, I'm happy. Lol. My dad and partner FREAK on me about this! I'll often leave a cheeseburger or last Sunday, a bacon egg & cheese biscuit out for hours (okay, several, several hours, but the biscuit was only like 2 hours sitting out the other day, so I'm good there) and still eat it. It doesn't make a big difference to me. I try to be good. I do, but sometimes I just.. well, sometimes I'm just busy and suddenly get hungry and, who the hell uses a fridge these days, right? LOL. Kidding.

But if it's really clearly bad, I will not risk my health to eat it. If there are no bad signs, a few nibbles won't hurt. My dad and partner are like "YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!" Lol. I try to not worry them, but hey. What can a girl do?

As long as it's been stored properly, I'll keep leftovers usually until they start showing signs of mold or they smell really different than they're supposed to.
But we tend to eat up the leftovers within a week or so, so it isn't really an issue for us.

I tend to eat leftovers within a week - but some things like lasagna have lingered longer - but I don't risk eating spoiled food.
