It depends on your definition of a date. We pretty much never go on traditional formal dates. However, we spend a lot of time out together: going on walks, going out to eat, etc. We try to make time for each other every day, even if it's not much.

With me and my partner constantly traveling, we try to make formal dates when we can.

I don't know what is a date for us. We've been together for 11 years. Almost any time we go out to do anything is like a date for me, and we do things together frequently. We get out of the house together at least once a week. Usually it's for practical reasons, but even grocery shopping is fun when I'm with my significant other. Of course I get really excited about more date-like activities. But we do those things far less. Maybe once a month we go out for dinner?

We try to go out at least once a month. This means a planned date prior to going. Otherwise, we hang out all the time when we're in the same country

Our goal is to go on a date once a month to keep our relationship up and running but it NEVER happens. Kids have taken over.

When ever we have the opportunity we will have a night out to enjoy ourselves. Right now with a 9 month old leaving him with his big Sisters and walking to the supermarket is a date!

depends on how you define a date! With a loose interpretation (staying in, cooking dinner together, watching a movie), then more than once a week!

I kind of have to agree with Fanny. To me, we have never been on a date. To him, We have, which was going to prom, having his parents pay for pre-prom dinner, doing to the movies when our friend pays. It is really hard to go out to dinner, because he is an adult picky eater. So, the places I would love to go, he doesn't. I even tried for a pinic in the park and that didn't even work for him. Sad, I know.

More than once a week. 2-3 times a week.

@Fanny, my definition is planned stuff outside the home.

I voted other, because since I'm married to my hubby of almost 3 years now, we don't neccessarily make date plans. We have no kids yet, so we are together like 90% of the time that he is not working. We have a lot of "date nights" watching movies and eating pizza at home. We always go out for special occasions such as birthdays, or anniversarys. Some weekends when we have nothing to do we plan a night out, which could be considered a date night. Sometimes, if there's a movie we really want to see, we go to the movies and to dinner, even if it's not a special occasion. So with us it really varies.

Have not been on a "date" in almost 5 years. With kids and current financial situation we feel there are better things to spend money on. Plus after 20 or so years a date has most most of it's appeal.

We do have a date night with toy's, does that count?

We try to go out bi-weekly, even if it's just for a light dinner or a movie.

I've actually never been on what I would consider a real date.

When I'm home from school, I got out with my partner every weekend. But, when I'm away at school, he comes over once a month for a date night.

My wife and I go out on what would be considered a "date" probably once a month. We don't like going out to movies unless we are really excited about it because they are so expensive. My wife has food allergies, so going out to restaurants doesn't usually agree with her, so we only eat out probably 3 times a month. We occasionally will go to a bar, or to Dave and Busters.

I go out on dates with my boyfriend as much as I can. But due to living a thousand miles apart, during the school year we don't go on many at all. However, we will get to see each other this weekend after being apart for 8 weeks. It was a true killer.

We try to go out once a week for a meal or to the book store or the movies, but that depends on our schedules. Every once in a while we go out on a nice date where I can get all dressed up and feel cute, normally like 3 or 4 times a year. I'd give up anything to do this once a month. To go out and have a night where I feel like I'm not second fiddle to sports or video games.

Yeah...I usually get, as you call it, second fiddle, to video games too. I hate it.

We never get a sitter for my son. We go out as a family, but I don't remember the last time we had a real date.

We used to go out on dates twice a week or so. Now we are trying to save money to move, so we just rent a movie from the Box and cook dinner at home.
