After getting off work late last night, waking up this morning for school was the last thing I wanted to do. How often did/do you skip school, either high school or college?
How often did/do you skip school?

I haven't skipped a mandatory class period yet. Though I might now that I live further off campus.

I would skip a lot. I missed on average 40-70 days of school a year. I hated that place. I needed to get out of there.

I've never skipped an entire day of classes. I sometimes skip my early morning ones if I don't feel like getting out of bed, but only if the teacher doesn't have some sort of attendance policy in place and if I know I won't miss anything too important.

Depends on the class. I went 5 times to my statistics class. Haha. Made an A.
08/31/2012
I usually skipped only if I had a pressing assignment to finish or if I was so sleep deprived I knew I wouldn't be able to stay awake in class.

Depended on how much powder we got the night before.
08/31/2012
I only "skipped" a bit as I get sick often.
08/31/2012
I usually only skip when I'm legitimately not feeling good, but then it also depends on the teacher. I skipped at least 7 times in one class just because the teacher didn't care whether we were there or not.

I hated missing school. I only skipped if I was really sick.
08/31/2012
I missed maybe a couple of times a month. Depression + anxiety has a way of doing that. But for the most part I liked being in school.

I only skipped study hall.
08/31/2012
I'd skip altogether about once a week, but I cut certain classes on a daily basis, lol.
08/31/2012
probably a few times a month, but i was late every day
08/31/2012
I skipped alot - and never got caught!
08/31/2012
I don't skip school. =]

Depends on what year. Grade school, once every couple months. Jr High, at least once a month. High school, whenever I felt like it.

Enough that I had to go to Saturday school for the last few months of school so they wouldn't fail me.

I clicked Other.
In Elementary-Middle school, I skipped so much they threatened to fail me. I was good at faking sickness.
High school I straightened up a bit, and skipped maybe 4 days a year.
College... That's tricky. I went through a rough patch where I skipped so much, I had to withdraw three semester in a row.
BUt, currently, I only skip if I have to.

I actually enjoyed school
08/31/2012
I liked school so I never skipped and if I did I would be in trouble.

I skipped maybe twice in high school. I didn't even do Senior Skip day.

Mostly if I have a doctors appoint I just can't reschedule, I over slept, or I've even skipped because my period was so bad. I try not to miss school because that only hurts me but life happens. lol

Didn't skip all that much

I really liked school, so I never skipped. I may not have liked the school I went to, but I liked school itself.
However, senior year, I may have skipped. Depends on your definition. I had Culinary Arts third and fourth period, then we had lunch, then I had Calculus fifth period. I usually spent so much time doing stuff in Culinary Arts that I would miss most of Calculus. I would bring him part of whatever I cooked or baked that day as my hall pass. It got to where he wouldn't allow me in his class unless I brought him food. A lot of times, I just would go at the very end of class to get the assignment for that day. If we had a test and I hadn't gotten there when the class started, I would go to his class the next period. So... I suppose I was technically "skipping," but I wasn't -intentionally- skipping. I just got carried away in the kitchen.

The only times I skipped classes were when I had a paper to finish (usually for that class). For the most part, we're talking about lectures, so there wasn't a strict attendance policy anyway. I never really saw the point of skipping class to go have fun. It usually just means that you're going to fall behind on work and have more to stress out about later. On top of all that, especially when we're talking about college, you're literally just throwing your tuition money away when you skip classes; even if you end up passing the thing, the idea of paying tuition to NOT go to class strikes me as silly.

I only skipped when I had a legitimate reason, so I skipped infrequently
08/31/2012
I skipped infrequently, especially after I realized that Murphy's Law hold true. Example: Teacher that never gives a pop quiz will give one when you cut.

I remember skipping high school often, at least 2-3 times a week, sometimes more. I really disliked my high school but I remember towards my senior year my attendance got slightly better because I had two art classes, and photography

I was absent quite a bit.
