I'm curious. For me, I have a very prominent food intolerance, so I make almost everything I eat from scratch.
How much do you cook?

I cook everyday. I hate most pre-made food and pretty much all junk food apart from a good thin crust pizza, so I cook pretty much every meal and have a lot of fresh vegies

i don't do it that often b/c i currently can't afford too. i cook for my bf sometimes, though.

Hardly ever! Lol. I just don't have time to cook.

Well, if my hubby cooking every day, counts then yes. I used to love to cook but I am disabled now and can't stand in the kitchen much. I help when I can. Hubby is a fantastic cook, by the way.

Hardly ever. I'm a terrible cook! I've been all but banned from the kitchen.

I cook a lot.

Due to dumb third shift and and classes I cook three nights per week, my nights off. I also occasionally cook lunch too.

I've recently been in the middle of a large move, so my schedule is interrupted, but we usually cook almost every day. Finding healthy, vegetarian food is difficult when eating out.

I cook almost every night unless we have a specific craving for something from the deli that is already made. I don't mind it, and even enjoy it on most nights. I've been making some pork chops lately that would make you slap your momma.

Any chance you'd share the recipe?

I like to cook ... unless it's for my immediate family, then it's a rotation of the same seven meals because of anti-vegetable sentiments, anti-spice sentiments, anti-fish sentiments, anti ... you get the idea.
Cooking for picky eaters isn't worth it.

Not nearly enough. My diet is terrible, I hardly ever actually cook a meal as opposed to just microwaving something or eating bits and pieces of already-ready food (like muffins or a thing of yogurt)

I usually cook on weeknights except Fridays, that's the night my husband buys Carne Asada burritos from his favorite food truck home for dinner. I also don't cook on the weekends, it's either eat out or take-outs.

we cook 99% of our meals. Most of them are cooked by me. Going out to eat is too expensive, not to mention not that healthy for you.

Hah! Hahaha! Me? Cook? That's funny.

Gluten and (mostly) caesin free here. Almost everything I eat is hand made by myself.
When I mention my diet (also a pescatarian), people really look at me with this pitying look, but somehow, I like how my diet is 99% of the time. It helped with a recent and huge weight loss too.
Before, I was eating horrible stuff like box mac and cheese or Doritos - these days, it's munching on hummus with flax/chia seed chips, eating quinoa with fish, snacking on cherries or drinking hemp milk.
Of course, a diet is a way of life, not a fad, so gotta keep that in mind...

Wow totally awesome! Congrats for you!! I really agree with you, a diet is a way of life, it shouldnt be the next "quick fix." We want to look great as we age, not worse from the stress of yoyo diets and weight gain

I think what really made me look at my eating habits more objectively was an episode of Good Eats. In it, the host discussed how he lost 50 lbs in 6 or 9 months and how he did it. I think everyone should watch that episode, if only that.

His way of life is a little more strict than mine (like hell I'm giving up my one can of soda a day), but much like anything in life - they're nice guidelines to build off of.
Edit: and oh yeah: Thanks! Didn't notice the weight was gone until nothing fit right. Haha.

I have to cook for myself, 'cause there's no one else to do it for the most of time and I can't afford eating out too often. But I'm a bit too lazy to cook everyday, so I either so it in advance or just eat something like yogurts or sandwiches

I cook dinner about 4 nights a week. I have a lot going on in the evenings with the kids so I can't cook every night.
