I have 5 cats. I found 3 of them over time, abandoned in my old neighborhood. One of the two oldest is my avatar & she & her sister were abandoned at the Vet's office by a man who was moving in with his girlfriend who didn't like cats; he had raised them from kittens until they were 6 yrs old! I brought them home & then, every year after that, I found another cat! I almost had seven before I moved, but one had to be put down due to advanced renal failure shortly after I found him & the other stray was too sly to let me catch him, darn it. I kept returning to the house to feed him. Thank goodness, no one abandons animals where I currently live!

Ha i know you and i have talked about this before, but goodness, sometimes i think it's better that i'm unable to catch some cats because i'd probably come home with a new friend on the regular.
Currently i am living with one dog who is a Shepard mix, and four cats. Two of the cats are mine, though one is in his double digets while the other just had his second birthday, and my mother has a cat of her own. The fourth cat is actually belongs to a close friend who was unable to keep him when she moved back home so we offered to foster him until she was able to take him back. He's a great addition to the family though and loves to play with my kitten.
I'd really like to get a ferret or another dog. i just cant right now.
