My husband and I got married this past summer, and as of two weeks ago, our two friends Mike and Anna are going to be living with us for three months. It's not a huge issue because be have a really, really large home for a married couple with no children. But there are definitely times when I get annoyed at having people here. So we basically stay upstairs, and they occupy the downstairs. Ever since we established that rule we've been doing really good and everything is working out. They buy their groceries, we buy ours. We have a separate fridge in the garage and a freezer which belongs to them right now while they are here. Other than that we have had no problems.

So how many people live with you? Who are they? Etc.

I still live at my family home. My house is me, dad, little brother, and grandma. It's all good! We've lived like this a long time, so it's not really an issue. I sometimes with I had an actual DOOR on my room- right now, I live in the back corner off the house, separated from the rest by a curtain... not exactly ideal for privacy

There are three people in our house, me, my husband and my son. We have a two story house, so we have our own spaces and don't get into each others way often. The only thing that bothers me is when my husband gets messy with food, and I have to remind him to be careful all the time!

Living with other people has always been very difficult for me. I live with my grandmother now while I'm figure out what to do with school. It was really hard at first while my grandpa was still around (he was an asshole and now has dementia), and because my grandma used to be super overbearing, but it's much easier now and I try not to get annoyed. I know it's just temporary, and I just keep to myself.

It's just me an my husband, but his mother lives in the downstairs apartment...

My husband and myself thought once our children grew up and moved out that we would have the house and our life to our selves. NOPE. When my youngest was 12 my father in law started living with us. Then two years ago we committed to caring for my brother in law also ( he has a mental illness and can not care for himself properly).

I have to say although it is an honor to care for our family who needs our help, it is very hard on a daily basis. Most times I just want to escape my life.

We are actually the ones living with my in laws for now. I am hoping once i graduate and get a job (getting certified for MA) i can get a home loan to get a place for us. But until then we have 4 adults, 2 kids, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 10 finches, 3 snakes, 1 tarantula, and 1 gecko living in one small house. It gets very hard sometimes but i heard nearly 60% of married couples live withy family. So i know i am not alone and all i can do is hope it will get better.

I live with my boyfriend, his sister, and her kids. My bf and I are planning on moving out hopefully by summer, so our stay is hopefully only temporary.

I have my husband and I plus our 7 month old daughter. My older two children live with their dad, but are here on weekends, holidays and school breaks. So I guess they live with me about more than half the year lol.

PS...if you want to stay friends with them, kick them out LOL. Seriously. I have lived with friends before (and family) and its awful. You realize their disgusting habits or you get too personal with them. Its just a bad situation. It turns into one of those things that, after they move out, you hardly talk or see each other. Im not saying it happens to everyone, but it did for me. Just saying....You may want to make sure that their stay is not too long lol. For your sanity You don't want to start resenting them.

I live by myself... and the other 800 people in the compound. And being the only foreigner in a sea of Chinese... it can get a little unnerving when you are in the kitchen making coffee, and you look over and suddenly you see the man from across the way naked with a pair of binoculars watching you.

Thank goodness for camera phones and the old point and laugh!!!!

It's just me and my two-year-old. I wouldn't mind a housemate though. It gets kind of depressing not having an adult to talk to.

Hubby and me. When we first moved to into our house we had a friend of mine stay with us, and it was almost the end of that friendship. I do not recommend living with other people when you are married!
