Which, if any, food allergies do you have?
How many have food allergies?

I have multiple food allergies as well as intolerances.
I have a dairy allergy AND am lactose intolerant, they are two TOTALLY different things.
An intolerance means the body can't process the food or it's breakdown. Allergy means the immune system thinks the proteins in the food are "foreign invaders" and will cause harm, so it mounts a defense by releasing histamine....which can harm or kill the person in the process.
Celiac is actually a form of intolerance to gluten (one which I do not have) and is not an allergy at all, as the immune system is not involved and a histamine reaction is not launched. Although someone can be allergic to wheat or rye or oats. Celiac causes the villi in the intestines to become damaged and lie down flat so that NO nutrition can be absorbed. It, if real, will usually cause malnutrition and can kill a person who isn't aware of the condition, usually before the age of 25 or so. It is NOT, however, (as it seems to be the "Disease Du Jour") all that common, and is only usually diagnosed by taking a biopsy of the intestinal villi.

I have a slight allergy to milk. I can't have whole milk, only skim, and not large quantities.

I don't have allergies, but I remember it being a big deal when I worked at the ice cream place. We had a lot of families come to our store instead of the nearby competitors because we took the allergy thing really seriously.

I am allergic to pomegranates. Fortunately it doesn't inhibit my life that much. I wish I could eat them, but I'd rather have that allergy than be allergic to something like corn or wheat.

I have a strange allergy to the onion family...causes hives and tears up my stomach way more than just heartburn. Not to mention the hayfever symptoms (runny nose, tearing eyes and sore throat) baffles my doctor and is apparently fairly rare.

I don't have any food allergies, but I am allergic to some things in the air (pollen?). It just makes me sneeze a little bit, on rare occasion I'll take a Benedryl for it.

intolerant to avocado. oh the agony! the injustice! it's a developing allergy, like latex (and often, if you have one intolerance, you'll have the other), and develops with exposure to the irritant.
so i was allowed to fall in love with avocados and the more i ate them the more intolerant i became till one day and one full avocado later.. BAM. upset belly city! even a taste of an avocado gives me gas.
it's the worst.

I'm slightly lactose intolerant, but I've been vegan for the past few years, so it doesn't really matter now. I don't have any food allergies.

I don't have any food allergies. My friend's sister is allergic to just about everything. She can't have, dairy, beef, fish, and more that I don't remember. It's not as bad once you are old enough to deal with it all, but it was really hard on her growing up.

If I have any food allergies, I don't want to know about them. I love food too much.
