A lot. lol Only two we really use though. I'd recommend AmEx if you're going to get a credit card. They have excellent customer service.

I think I have at least five, but I only use one of them for gas, the rest just sit in my purse taking up space - I normally use my bank's debit/credit card for regular purchases.

we have two but pay which ever one we use off at the beginning of each month (we get paid monthly). We don't use them much but sometimes we can get gift cards if we use them so hey, why not! We are careful though...been down the other road a long time ago!

I don't have any, I don't believe in credit. There's nothing I need so badly that I can't wait to buy it until I can afford it.

I used to think that too, then I tried to buy a new car. I had been buying everything with cash for a long time, thinking I was doing myself a favor. They treated me like a first time buyer and I ended up getting a higher percentage rate. This was after being turned down at so many places. I have one card now. It sucks at my age (36) to feel like I am starting over with credit.

I have none. I always thought I was doing a good thing by avoiding credit cards, figuring that I was saving myself from debt. Then, I started looking at apartments, and it was difficult to find one without a credit history. So then I tried applying for a credit card, and even my bank said I didn't qualify because I had no credit history. Funny, they want you to have credit, but how can you get it if they don't let you?

So now I'm in the process of applying for a secured credit card as that's the only type that I'll get approved for. Then, hopefully, I can start building a credit history...

At nearly 26, it sucks when everyone says you need credit but no one will help you develop it.+

I'm gonna back up those who have said if you don't develop credit it could be an issue. I used to work in banking and "cash only" people would want a house or a car or another big purchase that most of the time needs to be financed. We could never approve them. So unless you plan to buy a house and car with cash and never try to find an apartment, you need some type of credit. Even if you just get a card and put a few sodas on it each month and pay it in full.

I don't have any but I used to, until I lost my car and then my job and it went downhill from there It's smart to have one or two though, you need credit at some point!

This is exactly why my partner and I decided to get a credit card a few months ago. We agreed on one big purchase and we are paying the bill down on time every month. We always make at least one payment on it, usually two a month, and it's always way above the minimum due. We need a credit card to build a credit history, not to buy things we don't have the money for.
