I would wait 1 hour...then bail. Unless I was being seen for something extremely important...then it would be 2 hours.

I hate dr's so if I'm in there, there has to be a very good reason so I just wait until I'm called. When I was pregnant and had to wait on maternity visits you never know how long you'd wait b/c they could've been called away for delivery or emergency c-section etc. I always bring a book and just wait.

I hate waiting past my appointment time. You set an appointment time for a reason, and I get upset if I have to wait for longer then 5 minutes or so past that time.

it would depend on how ill i was, I don't have a regular doctor right now, so I know if I go to the hospital I'm in for a long wait.

Before I had my daughter I waited until called. Now though she would be with me or my husband would be home with her so I will not wait forever. If they can't get me in within 45 mins of my appt time then I'm out of there. My time is just as important as theirs and my husband is watching my daughter and using his "lunch" hour I do it. I can't expect him to not work! He works from home three days a week so it makes things extra nice but still.

I'd wait as long as necessary, but be angry about it

This is why I both arrive early and wait patiently. Many doctors will schedule more than one appointment at that time and if you're not one of the first people there at that time "slot" then you're going to have to wait. Some doctors might still be out to lunch (depending on your appointment) or some leave by the time you get there.

I have gone to the doctor and it was EMPTY when I got there but a flood of people followed and they all had appointments at the same time. That entire doctor visit took 1.5 hours and it took around 45 minutes to see my doctor (I think).

Don't go on the weekends, make morning appointments (or as early as possible), be early...and be patient. I don't see why people rush doctors so much. I guess I have a higher tolerance for that type of stuff than others. I find other stuff to do like read books, catch up on texting, read emails...I usually don't plan much else in the day if I go to the doctor anyway because I can be there for like 2 hours sometimes.

I once waited an hour to see the doctor for 4 minutes. I had to get up and ask the nurse what was taking so long and they immediately brought me back.

1 hour is the longest I could tolerate, but that's why I try to set an appointment for an earlier time, before everyone else.
