How late can your package be before you start to get worried?

Contributor: Antipova Antipova
I'm sure it's happened to all of us... you're waiting for an important letter (from the DMV or passport office?) or an important package (from Eden!), and it gets put in the mail...

...
and then you're left hanging for a while.

How long do you last before you start to worry?

At times I check the status of my orders but not always. If it shows that it is in town but is two or more days late I would get worried. Thankfully that has never happened.

I checked mine yesterday (when it was supposed to come, but didn't), and the last 'check-in' it's made was on the 19th. I don't know if I'm supposed to be worried yet, because right now it's only one day late, really... but MIA for four..?

I always check the tracking, just because I'm so excited to get whatever I ordered. If it ever says it's delivered and it hasn't been I wonder what's up.

I agree, I check my tracking as well. I've found in the past that if the tracking stops on a package I have to take into account weather in whatever area it was checked into last, and holidays, but from there I guess it depends on what the status of the last check-in was before I worry

I give it a day or two. Whenever I have something delivered UPS the driver always "misses" the package on the truck so I have to wait an extra day or two. I also don't pay too much attention to the tracking unless a package is seriously late. I don't know if it is just me, but sometimes the tracking doesn't update until the package is either out for delivery or has been delivered.

I have apps on my phone for USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc so I just enter in tracking numbers at check them periodically. If it says something is supposed to arrive on, say, the 10th and it's the 12th I'll start making some calls. If it's really important I might call on the 11th. If my app says "delivered" as the status and I don't have it, I'm definitely calling.

If it's been 'delivered' according to tracking ect. I want it that day!

MIA for 4 is a little bizarre. I would probably call and ask what is up.

Wow I read this wrong. I thought it was her monthly package. Reading is fundamental. And I used to be a Mailman. No wonder I don't have a Miss Delivery to Love.

On the day its supposed to be delivered I start getting antsy and by 2pm I feel like they forgot me,

I don't have to worry if it was sent by USPS Priority Mail, UPS, or FEDEX, since I can always check the tracking. If it was sent by regular mail, I'll worry if it's over 4 to 5 days, thank goodness that has never happened to me.

That's basically how I feel. I constantly check the tracking and have it email me updates. If it's after about five here, I start wondering what's happened and getting worried.

I start wondering after it's 24 hours late. I start worrying if it's more than 48 hours late.

I never track them or anything, but I wouldn't worry unless it was 5-6 days late and that's only because I know ef usually has their packages out to me within 4 days. I've waited 5, but I don't think any longer than that.

Who do you call? I don't think USPS: Atlanta gives out their phone number..?

I'm spoiled by the shipping from Amazon and Soap; if a package doesn't come when it's meant to, I'm up on the phone all crazy like.

But, in the same respect, I order a lot of stuff online, so if things aren't coming, then something's gone wrong somewhere along the line.

I worry when mine is one day late. It happened once and it was lost kind of. That was when the hurricane was bad, so I guess weather must made it come late. I contacted Eden after the 3 or 4 day period and they sent me another one. I got that package, then few days later I got the lost one. Go figure. But it was like 8 days late.

I am so impatient, I have no idea how you wait 3 weeks for your packages! Props to you, Shellz!

If mine were a day late I'd start to wonder... but that's probably because I've had bad experiences with "lost packages" aka "package interceptors" aka "package thieves".... plus, like I said, I'm super impatient!

I just checked the tracking on my latest EF shipment and it made it to my local sorting facility this morning, I'm expecting it today! This is only my second EF order so I'm super excited!! (It's also my first insertable silicone toy, you guys have inspired me to treat my body right and upgrade to better materials!)

most of the places I shop from are incredibly good about shipping so if it's about two days late, I start to feel concerned. if it's from the DMV, i'll wait about a month before I fret; they take their time with everything

I'll begin worrying after a couple of days, excluding the weekend or holidays, if it's important or if I live nearby.

I live in Atlanta (where EF is based) so I got really worried when my bullet order didn't go through five days after I ordered it. Turns out I typed in my card info wrong. Whoops. I had to reorder. At least it'll be here by Monday since it shipped yesterday (a Friday).
