Yeah, I'd have to say this. I've been around long enough to roll my eyes when ever memes go mainstream 6 months after they've been popular online. I also find myself saying to other people "look, if I have to explain why the picture I sent you is hilarious, then you totally ruined the joke".

I'm reasonably "meme" fluent, mostly due to all the meme art on dA. xD
I don't actively seek out the latest greatest ones though.
