My wife challenged me to a typing speed battle a couple of hours ago (yep, never a dull moment around here). We went here (link) and I got 41 wpm, which was 43 with two errors. My wife got 45 wpm with no errors.

71 WPM. That's actually slower than it used to be.

45wmp - Which means I can't apply to half of the clerical/admin jobs out there because they want 60+wpm. I've been keyboarding/typing practically everything since I was eight, and 45 is my top speed. How are you able to be that fast at 70+?

I got 87 with one error which equals 86 words per minute.

Some of you are just incredibly fast! I think the fastest I ever tested was 55, back when I was in college. I guess it's a good thing I never had clerical ambitions, huh?

50ish wpm, but not always mistake free.
