Generally, I'm about 10 over. The exception is when the weather or road is bad; then I go at a speed that feels safe to me.

It varies for me. When I'm on the clock, I go exactly the speed limit, because I get paid the same amount whether or not it takes me 10 minutes, or 20 to get somewhere, and quite honestly, these people's parts aren't worth my license or my life. In my own car, I'm normally about 5 over. But in a decommissioned police cruiser, everybody in front of me goes the speed limit and there's nothing I can do about it, lol

It depends on traffic, the road I'm on (i.e. how familiar I am with it), the weather, and where I am.

If I'm in the boonies on a road I'm very familiar with in which the weather is good? 10+.
If I'm in a city on a road I'm familiar with in good weather? 5-10.

And so on. It just depends on the circumstances.

Usually about 5 over but below 10. It's a careful balancing act around here (densely populated area with tourists and college kids). I've learned to go the 'speed limit only' during holidays, school zones (duh), when driving beachside (there's a cruiser every twenty feet out there), and near the bars at night. Funny, but I know where every bar around here is because of the cops, but I've never been to any of them.

I did get a ticket for going 95 through Georgia's Speed-Trap Alley, simply because I was on day six of a road trip from Montana to Florida and I was sick of being on the road with my ex-husband, hyper dog, and whiny cat. Managed to get a semi's tie-buckle embedded in my tire going that speed, and I didn't feel it. (About twenty miles after getting the ticket, the differential caught fire. Georgia and I obviously do not 'get on'.)

It depends. In town, usually the speed limit. On the highway, quite a bit more - 20+ on occasion if the roads are good.

I'll go 10 or 15 over on the highway, usually. In town I usually go about 5 over, 10 depending on the road. My car won't let me really have a good time, I have an SUV. However, I LOVE when my boyfriend says "Forget the speed limit!" and rails on the gas on a curvy back road. I'd do it if my car wouldn't tip over...

I drive slow, due to severe cop phobia.

Usually 5 or 10 MPH over the speed limit. Much slower in the early am as there are deer all around that do dart out, can be so dangerous.

It depends if I'm driving on the highway or in suburbia...

highways faster, neighborhoods and such, not so much

Oh gosh. I typically go 5-10 over on the highway, though if I am going to work, I typically go about 20-30 over. Once I cross city limits, I usually go about the speed limit, though. There are usually a ton of cops parked around all of the cities and towns. They never really go out into the country often.

It actually depends. If I'm in town I try to respect the speed limit.
I usually go over 5-10 on the highway, though.

Just about always 5 to 10 over.

Usually between 6-10 over, depending on the situation. However, once I move back to Atlanta next year, I will have to drive around 15 over to not get run over downtown.

If the speed limit is around 30 I go closer to 5 over. If it's 55 or more then it's more like 5-10 over.
Of course, this time of year (winter for me) does not always allow for even going the speed limit.

IN the city, going over the speed limit just is not possible, really. Traffic, stop signs every half block, etc. Just doesn't happen, unless you're really reckless.

On the highway / turnpike, I don't go more than 5-10 miles over the speed limit. It is not worth putting my life at risk or being pulled over and getting expensive tickets...no thanks.

me too!

I laugh at people when they tell me they got a speeding ticket. There are a LOT better things to spend money on.

I have a heavy foot, but after I got my first speeding ticket I stick closer to the actual speed limit. Do I still speed on occasion when I don't see any cops around? Yes.

It depends on where/when I a driving. At night I usually go below the speed limit because I can't see very well at night. In town I usually go about the speed limit, and on highways I go about 2-5 over

I used to, up until 2 weeks ago when I got my first ticket ever. I've been driving for 4 years and nothing happened til last week when I zoned out driving through a small town. I now have to go to court in January. >_<

I'm usually speeding, but I'm never the fastest car on the road. No tickets so far. Knock on wood.

Considering I have added custom things to my car I stand out. Speeding is just another easy thing to add to the tickets they give me (or try to give me)I try not to but I usually end up speeding on the highways.

Yeah normally 5 to 10 mph over the speed limit. I live in Miami, FL and here everyone drives a bit crazy so you need to watch out for them. I drive fast, confident, and comfortably

Most of the time about 5 over. Unless I'm on an Illinois highway. They'll kill you if you don't do at least 70 miles an hour. lol
