How far do you drive for work on average? I put about 70 miles on a day. Some days only 40 or so, others over 100. It was about 120 miles a day 4 years ago. And no, I am not a truck driver. How about everyone else?

I live where I work (not the same as working at home, trust me lol) so I don't have to drive.

My trip is 20 minutes to work, then 30 minutes from (without fail, I end up getting done right in the thick of rush hour.)
07/15/2011
I live 20 miles from work, so I have a 40 mile commute each day.

I work from home, and it's however far the trip from my bed to the living room downstairs is. Unless you count my night job, which is about 9 miles each way, lol.

About 18 miles each way. But since I'm in northern NJ and the traffic is ridiculous, that ends up being about 45 minutes each way during the school year (much less is the summer).

i work at home so no drive

I am basically unemployed right not (not by choice) but I do have a small home Lactation Consulting business, which has been hit hard by the Depression (I'm calling it like I see it. )
When I rent or sell equipment, clients come to my house. But, when I have to consult with a client about a breastfeeding problem, I go to them. It's easier for new moms to not have to pack up the baby and leave the house (and some can't even drive for 2-6 weeks) and they are more comfortable in their own homes.
So, how far I go really varies. I usually restrict my clients who have home visits to a 15 mile radius of my house, give or take. Farther than that, and its not worth it and I refer them to an LC in their immediate area.

10 miles each way. However, I drive all over once I get to work for various meetings, etc, so I can easily put on 100 miles a day.

I'm disabled and don't work, but my husband drives about 45 minutes - hour each way to his office.

My husband drives about 50 miles to work each day (100 miles total). I drive about 8 miles to work 3 days a week. We always tend to live about an hour from where my husband works to stay out of the "big" city. I am truly a country girl at heart and he HATES crowds and traffic and noise and buses and exhaust and all the things the "city" entails. *Shhh, I love the city shopping.*

About 2 miles each way. I bus it though, so it's a 20-30 min commute.

Bleh, I live 35 miles from the store where I work and often get hung up in commuting traffic. Luckily I love my job and my coworkers so it's never a chore to get there and lately I have been doing a lot of offsite work where they pay for my gas!

I don't work. It's a 40-mile roundtrip for the hubby.

From my apartment, my drive is 8 miles each way.

40 miles each way, though I car pool with a number of people.

I just moved near my office, so when I drive on rainy days (I walk otherwise), it's .3 mi each way.

30' or so walk.

Don't drive to work.

Mine's only about a 20 minute drive. Maybe 13 miles, each way.

I don't drive, I take the subway and/or buses. It is about an hour and a half commute, but if I had my car again it would only be like a 20 minute drive...

I think about 1 mile, which is 5 minutes.

My day job is about 2 miles from my house, so 5 minutes if I drive.
07/15/2011
It's a twenty-minute drive, which I'm pretty sure is about seven or eight miles? I always forget to look down to check.
