I wait it out, and if its still bad in a few hours, then I'll take a pain reliever or maybe use some heat/ice.

Luckily, I have a high pain tolerance because I hate to take meds.

Depends. I get chronic headaches and will take something for them if I can't shake it. For menstrual/muscle pain, I wait it out if I can, take something if it's to the point where I'm having trouble functioning or concentrating.

My first line of defense is usually peppermint oil diluted in sweet almond oil (never use straight essential oil on the skin!), and a cup of herbal tea. They work wonders if the pain hasn't gotten too far, and takes the edge off if it has.

I will use a painkiller when it's really bad but I also try sitting with it, using a heating pad and biting the face off of someone I love. I try not to employ the last one because it rarely makes me feel better but it's been known to happen.

Most of the time I just deal with it and wait it out. If it's terribly bad I'll take some pain killers. I've built up such a tolerance that I only use pain killers as a last resort now though. When I have menstrual cramps I cuddle up with my hot water bottle and have some tea

Depends. Sometimes I just sleep it off, some times a heating pad, last resort is meds.

Three months ago my brother fractured several vertebrae in his neck from a trampoline accident. He had surgery and some vertebrae fused right after the accident. As of last weekend when I saw him he's doing OK pain-wise.

I wait it out or I smoke pot. I can't take most pain killers. They make me feel like I have drank 30 pots of coffee.

I typically try to wait pain out. If it's my back, a heating pad or hot soak usually helps, in conjunction with a large glass of wine or some muscle relaxers, lol.

I usually pop a few painkillers. If I'm having muscle pain I'll try to get someone to give me a massage xD Sometimes I try to sleep it off, or take a hot shower.

For cramps, I take Aleve for it. I have horrible cramps. They just get worse if I don't take anything.

Anything else, I usually just try to wait it out. I always wind up with a very bad headache by about the second or third day after taking my last Aleve, so I've chalked it up to just a withdrawal symptom and I refuse to do anything about it other than drinking cold water and holding a cold water bottle to my forehead.
