I don't know if I'm imagining this, but it seems like I hear less and less about father's day each year. Is it treated like a special day in your family or is it just another weekend day?
How big a deal is Father's Day in your immediate and extended family?

My dad gets a homemade breakfast he loves, then whenever he feels like it, he reads the cards & opens gifts. Afterwards, he leaves the gifts in their packages & eventually they get shoved into a stack of stuff on his desk, or in his bedroom & he goes to play golf. If it rains, or he can't golf, then we go out to the movies. Either way, he picks up food or on he way home & we later give him a cake

I am probably not going to do anything for dad loooool. We don't always get along smashingly but he is good sometimes. I might call him and say hi or something.

Don't have a father figure, so it isn't important to me.

I get my dad a small gift and spend some time with him one on one usually.
My kids get my husband gifts and I make one of his favorite meals. We do celebrate but it's generally a low key kind of thing.

Yeah, ours is low keyed too. And I seem to remember it was more of a big deal when I was younger. But, maybe that has to do with the fact that my dad was still a new-ish father & it was more of a big deal to him & my mom?

Hasn't been but this year will be because my daughter just lost her dad and she is going to have a difficult time

I definitely try to honor fathers day and spend it with my dad. It's definitely worth it, given what he does to me

not - no one significant in my life to honor.

My kids do the perfunctory gifts and BBQ - and I'm 100% OK with that. They love me and I don't a need Father's Day extravaganza to prove it.

It's just another day for us. My dad passed away many years ago, and my father-in-law lives in Canada; my husband doesn't care about Father's Day either.
