Home Depot or Lowes?

I cannot seem to do a single project without having to go to BOTH these stores to get parts. Thankfully, they are almost always next door to each other (seems true no matter what US city I am in).

Which of these stores do YOU like better...and WHY?

Funny how that works, being next to each other and one carries something that the other doesn't?

Throughout the years it has always been like that for me too, as much as I hate having to go to both stores it was always at least convenient. As far as which one I prefer I would have to go with Home Depot, MOST of the time they have what I need. Of course I am a bit partial to orange...

Unfortunately I no longer have the option, our little bitty town does not have the room or demand to have the Lowes. There is one about hour away, but at that point it is just not worth it most of the time.

We have a Home Depot near us so we tend to shop there the most.

I prefer Lowes, but where I live now it is 30 minutes to a Home Depot and an hour and 30 minutes to a Lowes.

We go to whichever one has the best price, and for big projects that usually means going to both. Luckily, they're right across the street from one another here.

Tough question, not biased toward either. Usually whoever has the better price for me.

Not really biased on either but Lowe's is right down the road where as Home Depot is 30 minutes away so I just go to Lowe's

I don't go very often because I'm not very handy, but when I do go I go to home depot because it is closer to my house.

I love Lowe's - we always find more stuff there, and it's easier, at least in ours, to contract out work than it is in Home Depot.

I am equidistant from both, so it depends on which I will be passing in my travels that day.

We don't have a Home Depot around where I live so it's Lowes for us.

I like the products that Home depot carry, but hate the customer service there. I love the costumer service at Lowes, but they dont carry everything that I like using.
