I went to get a few new tops for summer the other day, and I don't do that very often apparently. There were a ton of crop top shirts, and I just don't do that stuff! It's history repeating it's self, the stuff I found in the department store brought me back to when I was a very little kid, and things my mom used to wear. I've heard there is a theory that clothing trends do repeat themselves like ever 30 years, do you believe it? Which clothing trend was your favorite?

I have definitely noticed 1980's style clothing is coming back...my generation, but too old now to get back into it, lol!!

I was shopping the other day and saw a cropped top with fringe on the bottom. I wore this type of clothing in the 90s when I was a little girl. I don't like them though and refuse to wear them.
My favorite trend that came back is straight leg jeans. When I was younger, you were weird if you didn't wear bell bottoms.

I just don't have the awesome body to be showing my mid-section lol. Kuddos to those who do though, there were some cute things I found.

Always, always, always. Although I associate crop-tops with the late 90's.
I was doing costume research at the college library for a production set in the 1970's, and came across an entry called skorts. Someone had written in the book margin: Renamed gauchos and made a comeback in 2005, and they're still ugly as shit.
I've seen 80's clothing in stores since 2008 - a school clothing ad for K-Mart at the time looked like it was lifted straight out of 1987.

YES it is true look at the bell bottoms (or wide leg jeans) but some items should be left in history...The average woman is now heavier set or thick or fluffy like me and some clothes bigger gals just should not wear!

History is definitely repeating itself in clothing!

Almost all clothing trends are recycled from another time or decade. I love seeing creative, unique items that I've never seen anything like! The one that came to mind is those Jeffrey Campbell heels that have decorative wood carvings in part of the wedge.

yes I think so

As long as parachute pants and neon speedos don't come back, I'm cool with just about whatever.

I've been noticing that the worst colors from the 80s and 90s are back in. I will not be wearing them.

Yeah, I've noticed stuff coming back. The one thing that comes to mine at the moment is the giant belts over shirts, I've seen that a lot lately.

It's so funny that it comes back (some of it definitely should not!), and it's fun to dig the old clothes out and be "in style" again
