I married my high school sweetheart. It didn't work out, we were really too young and had no clue who we were or what we wanted from life. We both still love and care about each other. We talk a few times a year, laugh about how foolish we were and get along better now then when we did while married to each other.

I started dating My Man when I was in High School. We then moved into an Open Relationship, back to monogamy and now are married with three kids, a house, dogs and everything. It's been more than 20 years.

I married my H/S sweetheart, we were together 6 years, and it didn't work out, and I am so grateful that I walked away, because I have never been as happy as I am now.

We attended separate universities and went our own ways. That wasn't any sort of surprise so we knew it was going to happen.

I'm not really sure if this counts, I met my current boyfriend online while I was in high school but he had already graduated. Other than him I haven't really had a boyfriend. But we've been together for two strong years and loving every day of it. Hopefully in the next 3-4 years some rice will be thrown at us.

Married my high school sweetheart and I love here more and more each day. I think that's pretty rare these days.

There is absolutely no way I will be marrying my high school sweetheart. I don't know what I was thinking back then - I blame it on the limited selection.

I married my HS sweetheart. We didn't go to the same school, but met right before our Senior years and started dating not long after the school year started.

It's definitely getting more and more rare. It almost seems that people intentionally don't stay with their HS/First love.

While we did not go to the same HS together, we did meet during that time. That was 22 years ago.

I wonder how this poll is affected by factors such as going to college or living in a small town. Almost all my high school friends no longer live in the same city and a third of them live/work in other countries now.

Yes, it's been 16 years now. I use to live off his income while in school. His lives off mine; drinks, hunt, fishes and does work. Not nearly as hard or as much as he use too.
