Where do you hide your things that need hiding?
I just learned a neat trick. We use it for our most expensive jewelry and some cash. Yes, a safe is great. It is also the first place a thief is going to look. However, very few of them go for the toilet. In fact, we now have a thick "Ziploc" type bag (actually made for keeping wallets, cell phones, etc, on you when snorkeling or doing Scuba. We then use a hook from a toilet tank scrub brush (it hangs on the outside of the tank, but we turned it around so the hook is on the inside of the tank. That is where we hang the "security bag". I don't think any thief is likely to look there.
Someone else I know uses a canning jar, which she then sets into her large plastic sugar canister. Then she fills it all around with sugar. Anyone looking in there will see sugar. Even putting a finger in would show only sugar, unless you "dug down" about two inches, or poured out the five pounds of sugar. Again, how many thieves do that?
So where is your "original" hiding place?
