Help!! I just dumped a gallon of latex paint on the carpet....

How do I get it out without damaging the wool fibers?

I have a week to work on this and have thought of craigslisting to look for other carpet, but the thought of someone else's carpet in my house really grosses me out.

Any hints, ideas or other???

I think the biggest issue you'll have is that no matter what that area is going to be stiff. And that really sucks.

Try hitting up your local Home Depot to see if they have any scraps laying around, they might offer it to you on the cheap.

Home Depot is about 2 hours away or I would. I wonder....might have to try fabric softener in the shampooer after I do this. Let ya know if that works. Right now my daughter is doing the mop up--I take over in five. We are taking turns even though I did it!!I love my girl!!

Ouch, I keep forgetting you live in BFE. Well, good luck and at least you have your Friday night plans all worked out. LOL

(Anecdote? My mom once spilled a gallon of white paint on her blue car. Let's just say, she was none too pleased and the dent on the hood is a constant reminder.)

Ohhhhh, I thought a moose on my hood was bad!!! At least it just pooped and jumped off after a quarter mile!! No car damage!!! Oh--and put moose boogers on my windshield when he looked in at us!

Why not try Montana? It is beautiful here and not all of it is so.....rural. We do have a huge amount of movie stars and musicians where I live too! (Want the list???)
