So, summer has begun, and with the first weeks of summer comes the infamous heatwaves. It's currently 33 degrees celcius where I am, 40 degrees if we count the humidex factor. We're dying hahaha. It's so humid I feel I could drown in the air.
The question is, what do you do to keep yourself cool during a bad heatwave?

Oh heavens! I couldn't imagine being hot without AC! I remember what it was like a few years ago in the summers when I'd go for a while without AC. These past few years, the summer heat makes me sick and some days dizzy. Last couple years I've made sure to keep ACs around!
Other parts of the house get really hot like the living room where there's no AC. Cleaning can be a hot bitch somedays, but we have a pool. Drinking something cold never has helped me cool off just like drinking warm drinks never have helped me warm up!
Here in Georgia, it's such a nasty humid hot in the summers too. I was just tellin' my partner how I miss Panama City's perfect heat. The sun is so hot and I love the feel of the sun beating into my muscles, but I'm never sweaty, humid, dizzy hot there because the wind blows nicely. I love vacationing there!
I am so sorry that you're burning up. Gosh, I feel very badly for you. It's sickening to be humid and hot. I can't even eat when we've been out in the heat. My partner's job is mostly outdoors and I've worried about him and our old friend who's employeed there too this summer. It's been so hot and there have been times I worry that they're on the verge of a heat stroke.
Have you thought about checking local dump areas for an air conditioner? We have a lot of scrap areas aruond here and a lot of people doing trades in the south. You can usually find one for at least a good price. Try a used one. A lot of people store their old ac's in the garage or barn during the cold months and end up just buying a new one when the heat hits. A lot of times you can buy their old ones or get them free. Do you use Craig's List? Try that site and see if anyone in your area might be gettin' rid of one.
Well, I wish you luck. Take care and drink lots of water.
