I started one when I was in seventh grade (I was thirteen) and it was on my computer..which got a virus and died. And so I lost everything.

Then I finished a second and it was lost as well. Very sad for me..

I wrote a 34 page typed romance story in 7th grade.. saved it on disk, printed it out and kept the original.. Still have the original and printed version.. Its funny to go back and read.. Since then I published a few poems and and wrote for a newspaper for a few years.. but aside for a few ghostwriting jobs I dont write much anymore really. Sad.. I miss it.

I wish my story had the an ending like that, it lacks awesomeness, or even goodness and it routinely returns to haunt me, to devistatingly embarassing results. but anyway why do you say you lost it if it got a virus, have you reformated the drive or talked to someone who works in data recovery, I'm getting a bachelors in computer forensics so I know that it's not to often that something gets truly lost.

Wrote a 150 page (handwritten) supernatural romance in high school (1995).

Wrote a 900 page (computer) supernatural urban fantasy (2002-2003).

Wrote 1,000,000+ pages (handwritten and computer) of various fanfics and original short stories (1990-present).

God alone knows how many novels I've started since 1996, but lost interest.

Currently dealing with a yearlong writer's block that settled in at the time I told my husband we were divorcing (mid-November last year). I've been fiddling with a romance (going on 350 computer pages) since the separation which is complete crap, but it's been therapeutic in figuring out what I want in my future relationships.

Too chicken shit to publish anything.

i took a short story and fiction writing class once. so i've still got all that. they're nothing special, i'm clearly not a writer. but i'm proud of the work i did! only one would i ever share though, the others aren't something i'm proud enough of.

I still have ooooold stories I wrote when i was young in my notebooks. I don't think I've ever finished a story, maybe one out of a mini series I was working on, but it's been a while since I've written and i really need to get back do it...

In high school I started writing a fantasy type story. Nothing sexual really, and I can't remember much about it, other than if I had most of it today, I could rework the shit out of it and make it even better, lol

I wrote an entire (terrible) novel at eleven. Been writing poetry all my life. Written quite a few short stories. Working on a REALLY fun bit of travelogue/fantasy which will be about 120,000 words all told, I think.

Yes. when I first got into writing - about 18 years old - I wrote a short novel and several novellas (really short novels), but lost them all when my old laptop died. And more recently I've written several novellas and short stories (without commission pay) for some magazines, both online and retail. I've yet to write a full novel to (attempt to) have published. That's mainly because I have absolutely no clue as to how to do it. I'm good at writing, just not the self-pimping and being picked up. I'm thinking of entering NaNoWriMo next year to skip that step altogether.

Yes, I have. No, I didn't finish. I'd have a great start, then I get stuck somewhere in the middle.
