Have you ever lived outside your country of origin?

Contributor: Gdom Gdom
For the purposes of this poll, spending a week traveling or country-hopping doesn't count. I'm interested in how many people have lived in another country for, say, at least one full month (that's a pretty low threshold, I know, but it should be enough to rule out most casual travel). Thanks, everyone

I've lived in China for a couple of months as a child, but the memories are pretty blurry.

Prior to serving in the US Army in Germany, I held resident alien status as a university student there.
Enormously different experience as a member of the US military compared to life as a civilian there. As odd as it may sound, American soldiers are incredibly shielded from the realities of life as a foreigner in Germany.

Visiting would be fine, but I don't think I could live somewhere else. Too much socially to learn

Nope. Unfortunately, I haven't even been outside of the U.S. Very disappointing.
