My cat thought it would be fun to climb the curtains in my living room. She is only a few months old but her claw got caught on the string and she was just hanging their and looks over at me with this sad meow and I helped her down. Luckly she trusts me and didnt freak out when I tried to help her down.
Have you ever had your cat's claws stuck to something and he/she needed help out?

I've had cats stuck to screens, couches, clothes...I always help because it was my decision not to declaw them.

Everything from clothes to the carpet.

My cat does this kind of thing too.

Their claws do like to stick into things, mine has always been not too nice about trying to help her get out, but I still try to help

Kitty has had this happen before

My hubby had to pull one off of his testicles once! It's a funny story. We were having sex in the plain old missionary style. The cat saw those moving back and forth and you know the crazy look they get in there eyes. I had told him to kick her off the bed, but he didn't listen. She went running right up for them and grabbed them. He screamed really loud and moved. But she had got stuck, so he had to help her off of him. He was bleeding, but not seriously. That was a mood killer though.
He also had one try to case a fart he let with her claws. So, he got poked in the bum with claws too.

I wish I had a cat ... but it would be so annoying to take care of ... and I always feel bad trying to pick one out when I'll feel sorry for all the ones I didn't pick ...

lol, yes--they never learn...

When I used to have a kitty, yes I have had to help them get unstuck. It was very scary too.

Oh yes. All the time. When I was little we had 15 indoor cats. Mostly kittens... They're get stuck in everything.
One funny cat I had got stuck in the curtains but it wasn't his claws. He was only a few months old and he was screwing around on the arm of the couch next to the window and I guess he must have been playing with the string to pull the blinds and he slid off the couch, had his tail and back leg wrapped around the string and was hanging there upside down. He didn't make a sound either. Since he didn't seem bothered and we had a camera handy we took a pic and then unwrapped him. It was pretty funny.

I always freak out if they're stuck like that... like if I don't help them the nail will rip out and bleed. : [

yes, all the time

I once had my old cat's claws stuck in my finger. Yowch. But yeah, they would get stuck in other curious things.

My cat will get stuck but she can get her self unstuck. I would help out but she doesn't like that. The problem is when she get's stuck in me! Then I definitely help her out even if she doesn't want it.

So many times! I always get a good laugh out of it. A couple of times it was not so funny, because she was actually hurting herself pulling her nails and she was screaming. I've had to help my cats get out of a lot that they put themselves in.

Happens regularly in our house. We have 3 so we giggle and then set them free.

I don't have a cat, but, my dog's claws occasionally get stuck in his ears when his ear hair (which is pretty long) hasn't been brushed out and he tries to scratch them.
It's kind of funny, actually. He just sits there and looks pitiful.

I would love to have a cat someday.... one besides um, me

It happens sometimes when one of our cats misses a jump, then we just help her out.

He always gets his claws stuck on the top of my couch. We had to put the blind cords way up because, he'd get stuck on those too.
07/11/2012
Yep, when I had a cat she would get stuck to my clothes!
08/14/2012
Yup! Usually my skin or the blankets.

yup all the time

Not claws caught, but my husband brought home an abandoned kitten he found in a drainage ditch at work this past Friday and yesterday she was pitifully meowing in a tree stuck across the fence. I crossed the fence and climbed the ladder and rescued her from the tree. Silly baby kitten had a death grip on the tree but just kept meowing for me to save it.
