No thank God, I work in an animal ER and after seeing what a car can do to a pet I would never want that to happen to myself (or one of my furry children either)

I've been hit while DRIVING before, but never while out of a vehicle. Luckily, I've only had a couple of people hit my car, one of the times not even hard enough to leave a little dent (Walmart parking lots, sheesh)

My hubby has been. At the age of 17 he was ran over by a Nissan Pathfinder. He was rushed to the ER. The did scans and he had some bulging discs, but nothing too bad. At that point in time of his life.
At the age of 32 he was in a car accident because the driver didn't stop at the red light and he jerked the car to miss her car, but he ran into a a telephone pole. This messed him all up. He had a broken neck, the bulging disc where then worse, and his hips were popped out of place too. They had to put plates in his neck and take some of his hip bone to help with his neck. They loaded him up with all kinds of medicine and sent him home. He could only sit upright with the big metal box around his head. But it was helping his neck heel properly. A few months later he started having some really dark stools and anal bleeding. So, he made a trip to the ER. He had found out the medicine was eating holes in his intestine and thinning the walls. So, he decided to tell the Dr's to stick their medicine's where the sun don't shine. But no he regrets doing that because they refuse to give him anything at all now. Especially with the new federal regulations. He can still walk and move around, so he goes to work. He is the strongest person I know about pain. He is in constant pain because of the bulging disc. His sciatic nerve is pinched and he has to go be popped regularly by the chiropractor. The Dr's don't know what to do for him. The pinched nerve gives him muscle cramps and deforms his leg muscles so bad that even the Dr's say "Ewww! We haven't seen this before except in cerebral palsy." Which he doesn't have. He's back gets worse every now and again. He first started off with 2 bulging disc that weren't serve, but no he has 4. They are very close to requiring surgery, but they are scared to operate on his lower back because it's so messed up. He might not ever walk again afterward. So, they decided to wait it out. Hubby got sick of those Dr's too because they give him all these weird new age medications that have weird side effects. (One had a warning not to ever father children after taking this medication.) So, he again told the Dr's to stick it where the sun don't shine and is currently waiting until he NEEDS to go see them. He has burned through all of our local Dr's that our insurance takes.
