We both use Porn as a "background" to our activities and if they start talking too much..it is more of a distraction then enhancement. We have a couple of "romantic" porn DVD's, but they collect more dust then attention.

I'm not much of a Romantic in any way. I do like when My Man does sweet things, like brings me flowers or candy or simply touches me in a romantic way in a random moment. But, I hate things associated with what I call "expected romance." When we watch porn, we want to see people fucking as well as everything that goes with it.

Porn is a tool and it serves a purpose. For us, its adding to a certain mood. We like to get into that mood fairly soon after starting the movies and plots and "romance" simply take up more time than we want to waste on it.

I really don't care for porn with a plot, or with character development (it's porn, why would you care?) if I want a plot of any kind, I prefer Indie movies, and My Man and I watch a lot of those.

I don't know if I'd break mine into "hardcore" or "romantic". Basically, I need a porn that has a decent story to it. It drives me insane when the sex scenes don't fit into the storyline. If that happens to involve romance to get the plot, I'm fine with that. If it doesn't, I'm okay with that too. I just find myself much more attached to characters if there is a back-story to the characters involved.

If we're watching it to get off or set the mood, then hardcore, no real plot. Otherwise I'm fast-forwarding through it all.
Some of them are watchable as movies, and I've enjoyed them, but then we're watching to watch, and not to really get off to the sex during the movie.

I wish there was an "other" option.

I generally don't want a story if I'm watching porn. That being said, I'm not the biggest fan of hardcore porn. I want to see people having sex, but I don't want it to be in the form that the porn industry wants us to watch people have sex. I don't like the pattern: a little bit of diddling, she chokes on his cock, he fucks her too hard, she fakes her orgasms, he cums on her face. It's a caricature of what good sex should be.

I generally read erotica for this reason. I've had better luck with finding things I like more in reading it. Occasionally, I have found clips I really like, but they're usually from alternative sources, featuring real people having sex and really enjoying it.

I don't care if it's romantic or whatever. I just want it to be genuine, not forced in the name of the almighty dollar.
