Today I have to go to church. Yeah, it's not really my thing at all. I mostly just do it out of respect for my boyfriends parents. We're gonna dress up nice and go meet them there.

Afterwards I'm going to come home and bake a bunny cake. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting! I don't have kids so there's no egg hunting for me. I might make my boyfriend an Easter egg just for the heck of it. Tonight for dinner we're having fajitas. I'll probably call my parents and that's about it.

Spending most of the day in the kitchen, working my ass off but then I get to enjoy a great meal with my family...which makes up for all the work...

I'm just sitting on Eden today. My mom was in the area yesterday and she just turned 50, so we had a party for her, but she left this morning so I'm just waiting for my boyfriend to get home so we can snuggle or something.

I'm Wiccan, so I don't believe in the normal meaning of Easter. So, we don't go to church. We filled eggs, and hid them around the yard for our daughter. Now she's playing outside with some friends, and in a bit, we're going over to the neighbor's for another egg hunt. She's had 3 hunts so far! LOL I feel that today should be about the kids (with my beliefs anyway).

My family is pagan also... we're going over to my husbands parents for a ham dinner and an egg hunt. We let our son do Santa and Easter Bunny with the in-laws but don't personally do them at home. It's still a great family holiday no matter what your religion.

I think that's still nice that you are going for him and his family. I was never a fan either, though I am religious I do not believe in church at all, so I know the feeling there.

That sounds like it will be a nice cake though!

We slept in, dinner with my parents (my mom does the cooking and refuses to let me do the clean up! it's win-win!) and then we are going to watch a movie and cuddle later

We celebrate candy and springtime. We just put up two small greenhouses so we can start growing our own veggies and herbs. Other than that it's just like any other day hanging at home.

Easter was nice. I also went to see my mom. It was her only day off and she was exhausted and sleeping in all day with no plans. I made her breakfast burritos and I washed her dishes. We hung out for awhile and laughed about stuff. That was fun! We had a chocolate and jellybeans overload yesterday so I'm making the cake today.

To me Easter is strictly about spring. The earth is waking up from it's wintery nap and all the buds are coming up and little birdies are chirping. I love nature and have a lot of respect for it but I'm not religious at all and never have been.
