For me, it depends on the situation. Right now, I just lost my older brother from complications due to diabetes and addison's disease... so I'm gaining a lot of weight through that. When I have a break up, I usually starve and have no appetite, so I lose weight. What about you all?

I completely lose my appetite during high-stress situations, so I always drop a few pounds I don't really need to.

Having lost a close family member a few years ago, I empathize.
I used to always gain weight in times of stress, but I learned to "workout my feelings" instead of eating them and now I tend to stay about the same. Meditation has helped me, too.

If I'm going through a REALLY bad time, and I get depressed, I lose weight, because I basically get so sick to my stomach I can't eat.
If I ever get stress free (like for a couple weeks during the beginning of the year! Haven't been that relaxed since :/ ) I actually LOST weight, without any dieting or exercise.
Stress is a terrible thing
