Furries are no different from anyone else

Everyone's entitled to their... fetishes. I'd love to go to a fur-con sometime, if I can just watch!

Except they wear mascot uniforms at places other than a sports game. But I digress. I have a lot of furry friends, which tends to happen when you're a kid that stumbles upon a game called "Furcadia" and you think "Hey, this is cool, I can play as a cat!" and then you realize that these people have a whole lifestyle outside of this game, but by that time you've fallen in love with the nice atmosphere and people and you stay anyway. I just had this thought.

As much as I like my friends, they have never managed to drag me to one of their conventions. I think I would stick out too much, being the human and all.

It's their kink, I'm a bit boarder line furry myself! I love to wear my neko ears around and I'm looking for a a perfect butt plug neko tail

This I can agree with. I have the same thing with rabbit ears. I literally have had rabbit ears custom made to my specification. >_>

I can't say I identify with it in any way, but they aren't hurting anyone, so let 'em have at it.

If you look at the pictures in the review, you'll notice that in no way am I furry. And if you read the review, you know she wasn't furry either.

Not my thing so I don't really care. Everyone has their own dirty little fetish though . . . or furry little fetish! ;]
07/08/2011
Not my thing, but hey... if you like it, go jump in a fur pile...

I did laugh when I read it, so I apologize for not putting an "lol" in front of my response.

I love furry in the sense of furry but plug tails, ears, paw mits and furry sexy bra n skirts. the whole mascot costume with realistic animal strapons...well thats just different(eep).
07/08/2011
I've never heard of this before (hence my "What the heck is a 'furry'?" vote), but I gather it's people who dress up as animals? Doesn't interest me, but to each his own.
07/08/2011
Not my thing but to each their own! I'm sure there are lots of people that couldn't care less about the things that work for me
07/08/2011
I don't understand it personally, but they aren't hurting anyone, so it doesn't bother me!

i hate how people usually identify or automatically define furries as people who "dress up in fur suits and have sex with eachother in them" i mean, yeah, maybe a good percent of the fandom does it, some dress in suits because they'd like to be like their fursonas..just go to a convention and chat with other furs, have a generally good time meeting new people..
and sometimes furries are simply just people who enjoy the fandom, draw furries, have a fursona..
though, to what i said above, it depends if someone wants to identify as a furry or not. yes, some people are embarrassed to identify as a furry because all of the other people in the fandom. others say they just enjoy drawing furries. nothing more to it.
i myself identify as a furry. i like the fandom, enjoy the art, have a fursona..the farthest i've gone is wearing a tail, i dunno about wearing a suit (some are cute though, but i wouldn't wanna pay ridiculous amounts of money like others do..maybe i can try making my own some day.) yes, some of the other furries in the fandom kind of make me raise a brow. but eh, whatever. as long as it isn't directly effecting me.

I have furry friends, and I get called a closet fur (I never lump myself with any actual group though) and they can be very nice people. A little odd at times, but aren't we all?
07/08/2011
Yeah, I wouldn't call them "freaks". But I think it is kinda weird...but they'd prolly think the same thing about me and the things I like to do.
To each their own!
To each their own!

I'm uncomfortable around furries and otherkin. It's just not something I understand and I don't pretend to understand. They aren't hurting me and I'm not hurting them...I don't really give it a second thought unless it becomes relevent to a discussion.
07/08/2011
It's a bit strange but whatever. So long as I don't have to see it, it doesn't affect me.
07/08/2011
None of the above? I can't call furries themselves freaks as I'm probably just as much if not more so. I dislike most furry art, kind of hate it when they take over at anime conventions (too much irrelevancy there already!). I have met some furries I strongly dislike, but they had personality quirks. More recently, I looked at a furry forum and felt impressed by how nice and supportive everyone was there in comparison to much of the rest of the internet. It could have been just that this forum was just unusually kind, but I felt a little better about the scene after this.
