Last night when reading emails I made a huge mistake. There was an email from an acquaintance of mine, sent to a huge list of me and other people. It was weird because the subject line was blank, and the body of the email had just a link, no other text. I thought maybe her account was hacked so I didn't click on the click..but I was stupid enough to respond to the email instead of writing a SEPARATE email to my acquaintance! This morning I went to check my email, and got a message that my account was blocked. No big deal, I thought, just have them send a password to my Yahoo account or answer a security question and I'll be good to go. I went to the next page, and the ONLY option for sending a security code is to an old, OLD account I deleted years ago. I did some searching on other sites, and you're supposed to be able to get a code via text message, but the link for that went directly to the page offering to send a code to my deleted email! Finally I got ahold of Microsoft's customer service number, but it was automated and the answers I was giving caused it to reject my call. Also, at the end the message it said "Support is available only to paid users" so I'm screwed anyway! I still have not been able to get into my email. WTF! Never, EVER had I had such a frustrating experience with any company. It reminds me why I switched from PCs to Mac! I mean, really. Judging by my search results, this happens all the time. So why make it just one option? Can anyone help me here? I have had this email for a long time and I am not willing to start over.
Frustrating experience-locked out of Hotmail account!

Hotmail absolutely sucks as far as customer service goes. I have no suggestions other than keep trying to get a human on the phone. Good luck!
