Last night my partner and I were discussing how we each think and dream. He thinks in pictures and dreams in the first person. I found this really hard to imagine as I think in words and usually dream in the third person. I never considered that people may dream from a different perspective. When you dream, what perspective is it from?
From which perspective do you dream?

Only first person, but my dreams are always really weird.

I dream in a few different perspectives. I like the first person dreams better, but third person and as a second person--where I am not me--but am a different character in my dream with me can be unique as well. I have also had narrated dreams--too flippin weird!!!

In first person.

It varies, and sometimes the perspective switches a few times within the same dream.

I don't think I've ever dreamed "out of body" dreams. I'm always me in my dreams, never seeing me as almost an outsider, but have heard of this! Dreams are so interesting!

Both ways but recently it has been more first-person dreams.
03/03/2013
I have first person dreams. I can't remember an incidence of having a dream that wasn't first person.
03/03/2013
I usually dream in the first person but sometimes I am watching myself in my dreams.
03/03/2013
I didn't know people dreamed in third person. Huh.
03/03/2013
Usually in first person, very occasionally in third person.
03/03/2013
Only ever in the first person.
03/03/2013
I dream in the first person
03/03/2013
I usually don't dream about myself. I'm usually someone else and going from one person to the next. Like a possession or something. Don't know how to explain it, it's a dream. lol

I have really vivid, lucid dreams and at times my poor Master is on the receiving end if I have nightmares. It's as well he is stronger than me and can wrap me in his arms until I wake up and stop fighting. I had a bad experience a few years ago, I was bullied at work, and my dreams are when I finally fight back, often physically in reality while I sleep.
