So Four Loko is the buzz (literally) in the news lately. Organizations from high above are trying to change the labeling on it, stating it is unsafe.
According to the FTC, a 23.5-ounce Four Loko contains about as much alcohol as four or five 12-ounce cans of regular beer and is not safe to drink in a single sitting. I've had my bouts with Boone's Farm, Cisco, Mad Dog to name a few. I was never warned of the dangers, so why now? It would be the same thing as putting a label on a 6 pack, 12 pack, 18 pack, case, pint, half-gallon ,etc. warning it is not safe to drink in a single sitting....OMG!

So my question, anyone ever had it? Comments, etc?

I love it, or at least loved it when it had the caffeine in it. Some of the flavors are okay now, but not as good as they used to be! Luckily there is still one place where we can occasionally find it, until they run out.

Eh. It's ok. I've drank it before, and while I won't go out of my way to purchase it again, I probably wouldn't turn it down if a can was given to me.

Same here... all I know is it was in green and red. I'll never forget the horrible smell and even worse taste... yucky

I have heard of it, but I've never had any. All I know about it is that people were trying to get it banned, but I didn't even pay attention to why because I never planned on drinking it.

How about "I have heard of it. I have never consumed it." ??

I don't drink booze, but they are talking about this stuff on the news like it's the only thing happening.

People who are stupid enough to drink themselves into oblivion usually deserve what they get; massive hang over shit.

I've heard the new container is resealable. Wine is sold in 6 to 8 serving containers and hard liquor in containers that will give more than a dozen servings. So?

My option was other.

Heard of it, consumed it, remember my night well, but am pleasantly indifferent towards it.

I had a few friends who swore these were key to a crazy, long night. But we all acknowledged how unsafe/stupid it is to drink a caffeinated super-alcohol energy drink. They did it anyway, 'cause they're young and will never die!!!!!....

One night, at a monopoly-playing party of all places, I was exhausted and someone brought me one to drink to stay awake (and get drunk). Sipped, sipped, drank about half of it, then got bored with the taste and gave it to someone else. I didn't go bananas, I am still alive, and my liver is doing quite fine thank you.

I think it's funny that such a popular drink is only just now being considered unsafe and needs to be pulled off shelves.

I didn't know they have resealable cans now...
You bring up great points, I don't think the FTC should ban it if it is clearly marked and labeled.

Some of the flavors are GAH-ross. But, it is cheap and the lemonade flavor is pretty decent. As anyone who follows my twitter could tell you, they are a staple when I'm drinking. They are usually an add-on drink for me. Which means that I have a Four Loko in one hand and my real drink in the other. So I'll finish one four loko in the night by sipping on it while drinking my other drink.

I've had many, both before and after they removed the caffeine. They're a cheap way to get drunk and that's all most college students look for. They're not my first choice by any stretch of the imagination, but I'll occasionally pick one up.
