Forever Lazy

Contributor: Ansley Ansley
I just saw the most amazing commercial ever...okay, not ever but it's pretty damn close! Forever Lazy is the answer to the Slanket and various other attempts to create comfortable, warm, adult pajamas that are functional yet still cover all of the parts that get cold.

What do you think about the concept?

Not the most flattering look, but I guess you're not so concerned about your appearance if you're wearing something called "Forever Lazy."

I'd dare say not. I have a couch pouch, but it's kind of difficult to walk around in and even more of a pain to get off in the restroom.

I think it would be great for a lot of people. Including my best friend, who basically has one blood cell and is cold all the time and my middle daughter who is the same.

Those of us who.. eh ehm.. have hot flashes would find this a nightmare outfit. It's like asking for a hot flash. I just use a couch throw comfy comfy (LeNoir Family word for blankies) so I can throw the thing across the room when I get hot.

LOL I thought at first glance, "This is some sort of torture device!"

I am extremely intolerant to heat (another freaky symptom of MS), if I get too warm I can have a relapse.

As if that isn't bad enough, I am claustrophobic too. I can't even sleep in a sleeping bag if it is zipped. I was traumatized by my own sleeping bag when I was 5 or 6 years old (I was in it head first, tried to turn around inside it and I got stuck. My friends mom was trying to keep me calm, but the zipper was stuck hard and she ended up cutting me out of the bag).

No tight clothing for me! I like things nice and airy!

"It will be the talk of your next tailgate" ... Because people will tease the hell out of you for wearing that out in public...

In all seriousness though, I would probably wear something like that around the house if I had one.

LOL Oh wearing it in public is an absolute no-go. But, around the house would be cool. Might be good for camping, too.

Maybe these would be better for you footed pajamas.

They seem to be a little more fashion conscious.

I'm cold right now, so I am having to sit on my wallet to not order one.

It looks silly but it seems functional enough for people who are forever cold. Not something I'd go out of my way to get though.

I voted I'm going to order one cause my husband would love it....he's always cold (and I'm always too hot).

I think its cute - I really do. I think I'll get him the gray one - and I might even get my adult daughter (who loves stuff like that) the blue one!

It looks comfy, but nothing is going to make me retire my Hello Kitty Hooded Comfy Throw.

A couple of years ago, I had a bout of anemia, and I was cold all the time. I wished I was a kid so I could wear a fuzzy sleeper with feet on it.

I'm always leery of ads like that...sounds too "off" to be more than a scam to get your name, address, and credit card number!

There was an announcement in a New York paper about the success of the company and how they came up with the idea.

It appears to be very comfy, but might be a hassle when you need to go pee!

haha, honestly the people wearing them look like teletubbies. But, if they work and keep the heating bill down why not.

We have a couple snuggies, and they're ok, except a bit awkward and cumbersome after a while. If they had some kind of closure or something it would be easier.

Oh and a great parody of the Snuggie that's a must watch, the WTF blanket!

Neat! I don't know why I've not got a snuggie yet! I hate trying to turn the pages of my books with hands and arms under the covers. Lol

Wow, I thought I was the only one who had a traumatic sleeping bag experience when I was a kid. Same thing happened to me, except my hair got caught in the zipper when I was turning around, and I was stuck! Embarrassing and painful.

We can counsel each other on our trauma! You are only the second person I have met whom has also had a similar experience.

We can form the world's smallest support group, perhaps - Sleeping Bag Accident Survivors... Anonymous, so that we don't have to feel like clumsy fools!
