If you had a limited budget of $6, and assuming you've tried both Dunkin and Starbucks before, which one would you go to spend $6? You can get any product(s) at either store, as long as you stay within budget. Give your reasonings, and if you know of any good deals at these chains, let us know!
For $6, Dunkin' or Starbucks?

Starbucks. It's not my favorite, but it's better than DD. And I would probably spend my $6 on a iced caramel macchiato. Unless it's seasonal, then I'd get a pumpkin spice latte. I don't really like their bakery items.

I could get more Dunkin Donuts donuts with $6 than I could get Starbucks coffee with $6.
02/15/2012
Any drink I get at starbucks barely breaks the $5 mark. But we don't have a dunkins here so Im going to have to say Starbucks.
02/15/2012
I've never had Dunkin, so I'd have to say Starbucks.
02/15/2012
Dunkin. I hate coffee and I hate the smell of Starbucks, but I love me some donuts and breakfast sandwiches ^_^
02/15/2012
I would spend the $6 on something other than coffee
02/15/2012
Starbucks. Although I'm trying to think of anything that they sell for fewer than six dollars...
02/15/2012
I vote for starbucks I just like there products.
02/15/2012
Starbucks. I just can't get into Dunkin... I've tried.
02/15/2012
DD's coffee is so much better!
02/15/2012
Starbucks. Donuts don't give you a good caffeine buzz like a flavored coffee does.
02/15/2012
Starbucks for me!
02/15/2012
I think spending $6 on coffee is absolutely insane. Especially considering it is one of the world's most abundant commodities. Go buy yourself a 5 dollar coffee maker and for the extra dollar you can buy a 10lb bag of columbian coffee.
02/15/2012
dunkins. it's a better selection of food (although mcdonalds is better than both) and the coffee is NOT italian roast. italian roasts have to be cooked exactly correct, or it burns. for coffee I would also choose mcdonalds.
02/15/2012
juice, milk, tea and pop for me. Die starsmucks DIE!!!!!!!!
02/16/2012
in new england dunkins is like starbucks. there's a place where i commute where there are 4 dunkins within 1/10 of one mile.
02/16/2012
Starbucks for me!
02/16/2012
Hate coffee, love doughnuts, and you can get a LOT more at Dunkin for $6.

FUCK STARBUCKS. FUCK THEM SOOOOOOO MUCH!!
They're corporate bullies. They go around specifically targeting wonderful little mom and pop coffee shops to put them out of business. This has happened several times in my area alone. The one that really got me was when the targeted the coffee shop I grew up going to. The place was awesome. On top of having great coffee and baked goods they had live music and provided a great hang out spot for high school and college students. They were also very involved in the community. Well, Starbucks knew damn well they couldn't compete. So, before they opened their shop directly across the street, they bought the building that the other coffee shop was in and wouldn't let them renew their lease.
Yes, I know this type of corporate strong-arming happens all the time, and that this is how capitalism works, etc. But that doesn't mean I have to like it or Starbucks. And, yes, I also know that DD is a corporation. However, I believe most DDs are franchises. At least the ones in my area are. And the DDs in my area are locally owned. Probably not the case everywhere, but that's still a better record than Starbucks. Also, I'm pretty sure DD doesn't actively go after little coffee shops since the demographic is completely different.
Anyway, FUCK STARBUCKS.

Yeah, I'd go DD coffee over Starbuck's bitter swill. It's like the McDonalds of chain coffee houses.
02/16/2012
Starbucks.. DD coffee always tastes burnt and gross to me.
02/16/2012
Neither.
02/16/2012
I've never had DD coffee, but I do love our Starbucks.
02/16/2012
Starbucks any day.
02/16/2012
DD. Their coffee is great, and not ridiculously overpriced.
02/16/2012
DD, definitely. The coffee is yummier, cheaper, and they have donuts/better baked goods too. Your $6 would go much further.

I've tried both, and dunkin' coffee just really doesn't do anything for me at all. I find it incredibly over-priced at both places also. Although I feel starbucks put's more effort into some of there more exotic/elegant blends. In any case, it's expensive and a treat I get myself from time to time.
