Which is greater: the number of people you are following on EF or the number of people following you?

While looking for an answer to this, I came across a similar thread (link) but it wasn't a poll.

Also, if you're so inclined, share how many of each you currently have.

I stopped following everyone who follows me. I will follow some based on their reviews. Others, it depends on how interactive they are in the forums or with me, personally.

And I don't "not follow back" to be rude. It's kind of like Twitter of FB. There are SO MANY people who just follow and don't actually talk.

Huh. I voted that I'm following more than being followed, because that's what I'm used to on other sites (I always fly under the radar, y'know?), but I just checked and saw that it's quite the opposite. That... that's kind of nice. Gives me the warm fuzzies. You all rock!

I basically follow someone if I like them as a reviewer, or perhaps if I'm close friends with them.

More following me, than I follow...I follow if someone has really interesting or helpful posts, if they have similar body types, write great reviews that I want to read, or if I am amused by what they say.

I have 101 followers and I'm following 54. I jumped on board and followed quite a few people when I first got here, but I haven't connected with a lot of new folks lately. It also takes me a while to follow someone I interact with sometimes.

I don't Facebook, so when the follow thing started here I made sure to follow all the reviewers that I enjoyed reading, so I ended up Following more than I was being Followed. Over time I have Followed every one that has Followed me, so the Following number has remained higher.

Yes! This! I am not sure who is still here or not and I feel like I would be offending people. However, I have stopped following others before if they offended me or appeared to be following me to cause trouble.

Following 228 with 301 following me. I would bet that half of them are no longer around the site but like others have said, I am afraid to un-follow, it might be thought of as rude or something. I don't really use my wall all that much so it does not really mater to me.

It would be nice to know when folks stopped coming around.

We honestly still don't get the following thing. We are fairly new to EF and love the forum, but just are not clear on the whole following thing. Sounds somewhat stalkery when I got the first eMail saying I was being "followed".

I went ahead and did it. It didn't take long considering I only got rid of people who don't appear to be active. If I unfollowed someone by mistake and they're around, hopefully they'll tell me

I have about twice as many followers as people I'm following. I feel like most people in that I don't automatically follow back. I follow people I know are active, have interesting reviews, etc. I used to automatically follow back, but I don't anymore. Not to be rude, like BBW said. Just because there are a lot of people who don't actually talk or do much on the site.

I THINK right now more people are following me. Unfortunately, I had to stop just automatically following everyone back who follows me. It was flooding my wall & confusing the heck out of me. Now I follow back if I'm somewhat acquainted with the person or if thy write really helpful reviews.

I doubt most would notice. I sure as hell wouldnt. If youre like me, at the beginning you tried to keep up with following back. half of those if not more are guaranteed farmers just pushing the button and leaving the super annoying "following" comment. So those type would never notice for sure.
