I wonder how many "RV-ers" are on here... Full-time RV-ing? Anyone?
Folks alike? :)

Never tried RV-ing, we don't have that kind of patience driving 55 mph forever!

My husband gets car sick so there's no way he'd want to travel all of the world in an RV.
01/27/2012
I'm not a driving person myself and I couldn't see myself dropping a bunch of money on a RV
01/27/2012
It would be fun to retire and drive around in one, but right now I have no interest.

When I was younger, it was my dream to one day get an RV and travel the US, but now that I'm older I don't feel like driving! Isn't it ironic that the dreams of youth when you don't have the cash become impossible because of health when you can finally afford them?

I think maybe it would be fun to have fun. But financially and realistically I could never afford one. Maybe one day! For now, I still love camping out in my big jumbo tent.

I like the theory of it, but hate the gas mileage!

That's one of those things I told my husband I'd love to retire and then spend a year driving around the country in one of those. No idea if it'll actually happen, but we've got a while to decide still.

Really not my thing. I would probably feel claustrophobic.

Maybe a rental for a vacation sometime, but not as a regular thing.

This is what we're thinking too - I think I could handle a year, and then see from there.

I could see vacationing in one I guess.... But I don't even know about that. Seems cramped.

My chold good BFFs family had one. I loved traveling with them!
01/27/2012
I'm really not a road trip person. My dad, however, would love to have an RV and travel the country with it.

I'd consider it once I retire - but I don't believe my wife has any interest.

I think nice and are kinda cozy but I just think there point less unless your living in it, o traveling.. I would rent, never own.

Nope, not us. It'd be nice, but I wouldn't want to do it often. I'm a Georgia girl. Can't stay away from these peaceful mountains too long. LOL. I suppose it would be a fun adventure though! My mom has ALWAYS wanted to do that when she got old. My dad's bought RV's before, but never did travel in em.

Indeed, it is mindblowing... I often wonder how come I was so crazy for a few things to get when I was a kid, and spent a lot of money on stuff when I was younger... And now I wonder a lot if I will really feel still as crazy for toys like now when I get older, still being able to enjoy them but feeling like it was all a waste of time and money and I could have spent those two for something way better to already have what I want in those later years... Isn't it crazy? ^^

Well W/we have one only to be mobile enough, Master moved a LOT when He was younger and even just a few years ago, so that was one reason, another, even more important reason is that if the economy ever went so bad and there was chaos and crime everywhere W/we will be able to just got get the fuck out of anywhere!

Also, it is way cheaper to rent a private RV spot, W/we can save a lot of money with it to do other important things, like getting set up to move to a place where W/we can live self-sustaining and away from populated areas, Nevada desert is perfect for it especially because He spent most of His Life living and working there, so nothing could be a better location for U/us to not rely on the grid anymore, not worried about the government and the crazy fuckheads running around, only a few people as nearby as faraway can be, most of them known by Him on the top of that...
So having an RV means roof over O/our H/head, so W/we will never have to worry what if the economy crashed, cause W/we can already have O/our entire environment set up and everything there, you just pick the food off if you wish to, solar power, all the techie gadgets, thousands and millions of movies, books, music already safely backed up (ebooks is already millions, and music, and close to 4000 movies already!!!), so it will never be boring!!! ^^

Would be better if W/we had more space, but the safety of always having a roof over your head wherever you go is something I wouldn't give for anything, especially in this economy! I have moved a lot in my life and it is very tiring after a while. And you can get the hell out of your place if something weird happens, you can't do that with a house!
