When I'm going through my depressed mode, nothing could convince me of that. But rationally, I know that I DO have a purpose in this world. I have interests and gifts that can contribute to society. Even when I'm just waiting tables at the restaurant where I work, I'm contributing to people's happiness, even for an hour or two. I think everyone has a purpose in this world.
