The only thing that truely scares me is elevators. I got trapped in one as a kid and ever sense I get all sweaty and freak out and hyperventalate in elevators, and if i get in one i have to be right up against the door at all times and holding someones hand or i will take the stairs.

I am truly terrified of something happening to my daughter, granddaughter or husband. i don't know if I could survive that.

Water where I can not see the bottom, such as lakes (and sometime the deep end of the pool... )

And lots of other things, but water is a big one. I can't even deal with video game water! When I played WoW, there's a section just before you get into wailing caverns with a little pool you have to swim over to get to the other side. There are little loch ness monster things (which are FUCKING TERRIFYING TO ME OMFG) and I had to close my eyes every time I crossed that damn thing

I am also terrified of something happening to one of my family members. I agree with js250, I just don't know if I could live through that. I only have my husband, 2 sons and a grandson, so there aren't many of us!

On a more mundane level, I am really afraid of spiders and bugs...

They think I am totally crazy for that. So for now I stick with my pepper spray and text code with my sisters. I guess those are the really big things I'm super scared of.

I think everyone is afraid of failure. As for the fear of kidnapping, I too suffer it, but I'm working on it in therapy.
