I call 'em "vegifruits," myself. For the curious, since there's no botanical classification for vegetables, it doesn't actually matter if you refer to tomatoes as fruits or veggies. Both are correct (fun fact: pumpkins are fruits, too).

I normally go for on-the-vine and campari tomatoes, though I also love plum, roma, and cherry. The best one I ever had was grown by my grandfather, and I only had one. He said it was an African tomato, though I don't know if that was its actual name or not. It was huge, and bright red with some yellow-orange spots on top. God, it was delicious!

I like cherry and eat them all the time but since I eat them whole I have this recurring fear that I am going to bite
Into one and there is going to be a big living bug inside of it. Ewww.

Sure, sure, cherry tomatoes are nice, but the clear winner for me is the Creole. I feel bad for you tomato lovers who don't live in the south, particularly Louisiana and parts of Mississippi and Alabama, where the soil and climate are just right for a good creole. Best tomato ever!

Vine, plum, or crazy heirloom tomatoes when I can get my veggie-lovin' hands on them. I probably need to get my hands on these creole tomatoes Alyxx speaks of though, they sound yummy.

I like roma tomatoes, I feel that they are less acidic. They are not actually my favourite, but they are the best from what you get get from a supermarket all year round.

I'll go with Woman China and Mr. John. Heirloom tomatoes rock!

I was also a huge fan of the ultra-sweet Sun-golds I planted last year. They were like tiny tomato candies!
