What is your FAVORITE flower in a BOUQUET, and what is your FAVORITE flower in the YARD, alive?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
My answer for BOTH is ROSE. Love to grow them, and they are amazing, although traditional, in a bouquet. My second love is Lillies of the Valley.

What about YOURS?

I don't like cut flowers, they depress me, but I love Orchids and Tiger Lilies.

Stargazer Lilies in bouquets, and if I had planted the bulb that I have I'd have them in the yard, although they prefer to be in the house really. As for things that are actually in my yard right now, I love the lilacs.

I echo Sam's stargazers. They're my all time favorite flower and as she said they do really well in the house. They're exceptionally fragrant so I can't have them in the apartment, but I'd have no problem having them in a large house or garden room.

My favorite yard flowers are tulips. They stand so straight and tall, like proud soldiers. The range of colors is pretty amazing, too.

Oh and snapdragons. Just because I love to "open" and "close" their "mouths".

Stargazers are my all-time favorite too, regardless of where they are.

I like Orchids, though those are usually an indoor plant in most places, and gerber daisies and sunflowers.

I love purple flowers, but I think carnations are beautiful and the only roses I like are purple, blue and black ones. Natural ones, not the painted ones.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that with snapdragons lol.

I love the ferns, they are so green and intricate. They also have a very fresh, woodsy odor that is very relaxing to me.

For the yard, my lilacs!!! I have about 15 mature (over 15 feet tall) trees and when they bloom, you can smell my yard a block away.

I like gerbera daisies. I prefer live plants over cut flowers, though.

I don't like cut flowers, so no bouquet for me. In the garden, I like Lily of the Valley, Pink Dogwoods (their bracts), Tulips (like my avatar), and English Munstead Lavenders.
