I'm a Peet's coffee fan. Frequented the original Peet's on Vine and Walnut street in Berkeley,Ca when they still only had 2 outlets.

For those of you not in the know. Starbucks came from Peet's.

As I understand it, the Starbuck's founder worked or partnered with the founder of Peet's. Mr. S wanted to expand and Mr P did not. So he allowed Mr S to open his own store out of Calif for x number of yrs. Starbucks was born ! I have a buddy that calls them Five Bucks. He says everything there cost $5.

I'm a tea drinker. That being said, I love my Starbuck teas.

It's not that I don't like coffee, I just don't wake up in time often enough to make/buy it on the regular. Many days I will just drink a little bit of tea. Just enough to burn my tongue and wake up.

Did you ever try International coffees? Cafe Francais is my favorite , but they have many flavors. It also in some ways reminds me of Starbucks coffee.

I can't say that I have. I will try to make it in to a local Cost Plus or other type of store and check out something different.

Because you mentioned that Peets is the forerunner of Starbuck's I almost got some Peet's k-cups for Keurig. I ended up not getting a Keurig, after all so had no use for it.

We used purchase whole beans from Peet's. Tried nearly every flavor back in the day when beans were under $6.00 a lb. We also purchased a cappuccino machine from them. Making you own beats paying some much for a coffee drink. Not hard to make own mochas, cappuccino or even cold drinks. The coffee shops put so much milk in their drinks now days. I blame Starbucks for that. Used to be when you went to a Italian Coffee Shop, it was good stuff. Now they are pretty much milk drinks with a little espresso in them.

I have only tried the green tea frap at starbucks but it's amazing.
Other than that, I like the make it yourself stuff at Cumberland Farms (plus their chai tea latte is the best. <3 ).

I like D&D but they pretty much ALWAYS screw up my coffee so Cumbies definitely wins.

I'm a bit odd in that I actually hate coffee in general, but I've been known to spend some of my spare time drinking sodas in a local coffee shop here in Johnstown, the Flood City Cafe, particularly at their open mic nights. I hear their coffee's actually pretty good, but as I said, I'm just not a coffee fan.

Just returned from the biggest Metro area in my area. So many different coffee shops everywhere. Chains, local chains and individuals ( I dislike the term mom and pop) everywhere you turn. In some streets there are 6 on both sides of the street. New favorite there is Philz's. Rich, flavorful and of course, expensive.

Anybody heard of them also ?
