I have to work on turkey day so I am having my family dinner with the kids on Sunday, is anyone else putting of their holiday in the name of work?

My son's birthday is Sunday, so we're doing Thanksgiving Thursday and his birthday party Sunday. Not sure what my husband's work schedule will look like, but hopefully we'll be able to have Thanksgiving somewhat early in the day.

No but I hate when we have to do that, especially if we're moving it to a weekday..

I hate it when that happens....we try to have holidays the day of...except for when its my birthday. My family LOVES to move that around.

No--luckily I can close my store for holidays and my hubby is a contractor so we do not usually worry about that. We do have family members that hate each other though....so we have two dinners and alternate who gets the fresh cooked one on the holiday.

My family doesn't. Everyone (except me) has in-laws, so they would go there.
This year, I'm not even going to the family Thanksgiving. I'm not really a holiday person. I'll be working if anyone needs anything

I'm working. My family is all in NY. And to be honest I hate my Wifes racist and gay bashing relatives. So I always pass if I can.

It will be just my parents and me since our family has kind of fallen apart.
