ever fainted, and what was the reason? i'm wondering how common it is, and if it's often heart related or emotion/stress related.
Have you ever fainted?

I've never fainted. Everyone I know who has ever fainted has done so from exhaustion or locking their knees.

I did once, January 5th of this year. I was because I was super busy and hadn't eaten enough in the few days leading up to it.
Long story short, I now need a root canal because of the trauma to my front tooth when I hit the floor.

I have fainted three times that I can remember:
Once in church as a young boy from excessive summer heat
Once in the shower after wrestling practice when I slipped and banged my head
After my first blood donation as a freshman in college
Since all of these had known reasons I never worried about it. If I fainted and could not figure out why - I would get medical help.

I've fainted four times that I can remember (twice at home, twice in public). It always happened during periods of extremely high stress. The last time was several years ago, but I've had many close calls since then. If I feel it coming on, I have to lay down flat on my back until it passes, otherwise I WILL black out. I blame it on my anxiety.

Yes, I went to the doctor to get a shot for poison ivy, it was awful and all over my face. As I was leaving and went to pay, passed out and fell in the floor. Haha...good place to do it I guess.

I started fainting the first time I had blood drawn.

Yes as a young teenager. Never figured out exactly why it happened.

Never fainted but been knocked out

I've always had REALLY bad fainting problems. It's happened sometimes when I get dehydrated, but usually it's when I get really scared or anxious- generally when I'm about to get a shot or piercing.
02/11/2013
I almost did one time, because I didn't eat anything that morning.
02/11/2013
Once from not eating, once from the flu, and twice from drinking too much on an empty stomach.
02/11/2013
Not yet. I hope I never do.
02/11/2013
I did once because I was dehydrated. I was 10 weeks pregnant with my first daughter.
02/11/2013
I did from stress, it's not that uncommon
02/12/2013
Once, i kinda eased into it but man it was wierd... couldn't move
02/12/2013
Once from exhaustion.

I have. Several times. Turns out it was a bad mix of prescription pills (actually prescribed by Dr.). As soon as I changed my allergy medicine, it was better. Go figure.

I used to faint a lot as a kid. I still do, sometimes.

I was really sick with the flu in college, went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and came to later on with dried blood on my face from where my teeth cut my lip when I fell on the floor. The dorm was really empty that weekend and I have no idea how long I was passed out.
03/21/2013
I have fainted in the past from heat exhustion, excessive blood loss on my periods...but in the past 6 months, I've fainted for no apparent reason. Went to the Dr. and found out it was from my blood pressure medicine. They took me off of it and now no more fainting and 1 less pill to take. Apparently I no longer have high blood pressure!

I've had four massive panic attacks that resulted in me fainting.
03/21/2013
I've never fainted, but I've been knocked cold from a concussion.

I've fainted a lot of times. Once even caused a plane to have to land early. It hasn't happened in a couple years, though. Thankfully.
