I'm a book/magazine editor/translator. My boss just started a Caregiver charity to acknowledge formal and informal caregivers in Canada that I've been working on too.

That's similar to the line of work I hope to get into. Essentially, I'd like to become a sort of counselor at a clinic, helping those who need it but can't afford to pay that much.

I used to work as a cna/tech in mental health hospital and would like to find another job like that

That's got to be discouraging! You bust your butt for years to get a degree, then the economy tanks and you end up working in an entirely different field...
Hopefully you'll find an opening in the teaching field soon!
