Any EF "regulars" ever take a "vacation" away from EF???

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
Mr. and Mrs. Bignuf have our daughters wedding coming up in a few months. We also, for work, BOTH have to take big "Board Renewal" exams...which require LOTS of serious study to catch up on things we DON'T need to know in our jobs, but which the licensing board thinks you should know to hold the work titles we have. Oh well.

The bottom line is that we don't have enough hours in our day to do everything that we need to do over the next few months, after a nice long talk, we are cutting a few things out, so Facebook, EF and a few "offline" real world activities are on "HOLD" till we are back to our real world in August. We may pop in, now and again, but till then, we are "off the EF Grid".

Anyone else of the "EF daily regulars" ever taken a "vacation" or "hiatus" from EF??

When I went on christmas vacation I was away from Eden for awhile. It was pretty weird. Or if Im really busy working on a project I slow down on here for awhile. Its a big change in routine for one thing.

Yes, I just spent almost two weeks away from Eden, now I'm trying to get back into the routine.

I ALWAYS try to spend at least a little time on EdenFantasys a day, even if I don't have time to post anything myself. I've only missed a few days in over a month.

I'm only just coming back from six months away from sex toy reviewing and being active on the forums. I never was very active on the forums and probably still own't be, but sometimes a thread that's interesting comes up.

I think it's only reasonable to take breaks away from cyber activity; real life always must come first.

At this point, that's what my weekends are. I try to pop on every now and then, but I spend so much time here during the week that it's nice to take the weekends and go do other things. Before I worked here I would spend most of my time here on the weekends writing reviews, but now I just try and squeeze them in during the week.

I've been away for a while due to life, unfortunately. Gah.

I sorta took a break from EF during the Christmas/New Year week. I wasn't home to use the internet much.

I am going to have to take a 3 week break pretty soon - probably in late February or early March.

My adopted mom has Alzheimer's (I'm the only child) and she fell last week and got put into the hospital. We were hoping that would mean that she'd get approved for boarding home care and I'd go up and clean out her apartment and bring her cat back with me.

Instead - she's going into skilled nursing for a month for some help and rehab and then will be evaluated in 30 days.

Honestly, she needed to go to a unit about 2 years ago but the state didn't seem to think so.

My son and I are going to drive up to Northern Maine and clean out her apartment when the time comes. We'll be driving up to Northern Maine (3 miles from Canadian border - in Aroostook county) from here - I'm 3 miles from the Canadian border.

Supposedly - it is a 39 hour drive from my son's place...he is near Austin, TX.

I am going to miss EF so much. I will take my laptop and try to get WiFi at least once or twice a week while we're gone.

I have taken time off many times, yes. It depends though, I get into moods where I'll do a lot then get into moods where I won't do too much. I try to stick around as much as I can, though.

I don't know if I count as a regular as I've only been here a short time in comparison to many others. I am on here every day and have been since the day I started so I guess maybe that qualifies me.

I don't take breaks nor do I intend to. My life is very stressful due to a high pressure job and a high energy toddler! The combo of the two leaves me exhausted and drained most days. Eden is my little escape from the pressures of life and keeps me sane. I love my life - my son and my job (my son always and my job most days) but it's taxing on me physically and mentally. I might well lose it if I didn't get my nice daily escapes to Eden. Even if life gets super crazy I try to pop in on the forums and make at least a post or two.

I usually take breaks when I go on real vacation with friends or romantic interests. If I have a real person that wants to spend lots of time with me, I'll usually forget about my internet "obligations."

I haven't taken a break but might in the future. Life can sometimes get the way of online stuff.

I have been here everyday since I started and do not plan on taking a break anytime soon, unless the family issues I am having now cause me to have to take a break. I don't know what I would do without my EF! I love it here and it is one of the few things I actually enjoy. I am not as active during the weekend but I pop on and off.

I usually haven't had to take long breaks, but I've had to stay off for a few days or a few weeks before because I just got bogged down in a bunch of other stuff going on.
