I'm a Nook fan, I never liked all of the random buttons on the Kindle that was out at the time I purchased mine. But now it feels like the new Kindle Fire and Nook Color or HD are both pretty competitive. I already have an Ipad I just didn't like how bright the screen was so I got just the plane Jane paper looking Nook, now for Christmas I'm asking for the Nook Glow so I can read at night without a light on or in the car on road trips, nice soft back light that doesn't sear my retinas.

I wanted a Kindle but made myself wait and save up for a tablet as that made much more sense for my needs.

I wasn't crazy about ebooks in the beginning but having a library of books always at my fingertips meant I began reading again after a long dry spell.
