Does toy color bother you?

This is partially coming up because one of the things I'm considering getting for the boyfriend only comes in purple and I'm not sure if he'd use it or not. Then I thought about it and I don't really look at the toy while I'm using it. It's not the toy that turns me on. The color doesn't usually bother me but what about everyone else? (The only rule I have about toy color is no pink, because I despise the color and it would be out of place if I accidentally left it somewhere. If it's pretty much any other color it would probably be overlooked.

So, how about it? Can a toy color/print bother you enough that you wouldn't use it? If so, what colors/prints? I'm curious!

I REALLY want a Zini Ran and it's been out of stock forever. It came back in stock in the Black/Gold combo for about an hour one day but I didn't order it because gold is my least favorite color ever. As a general rule, if there is too much gold on something, I won't buy it.

I won't buy anything in pink or yellow, and I'm not particularly fond of magenta or that ugly shade of light reddish purple.

If I dislike the color enough, I won't buy it. For me it's less entire colors blacklisted and more that there are shades I just won't touch. I've found that I am hard-pressed to use something I find unattractive.

Yeah, I am. Colors have a significant impact on our arousal and emotional stimulation. Reds are perfect colors, so are pink. I also like blue because its calming but I'm not huge on bright colors (yellow, orange, etc). And I also don't like skin colors...I don't know why, but it's just weird to me.

I don't think a particular color would make me avoid using something, but the pattern might. If it was too loud, I'd probably reject it, as it'd be pretty noticeable.

However, when I do have a choice between colors, I try to go for what's the least noticeable, like white or black. If I can't go for discreetness, I go for whatever's prettier. I love the color pink, but the ultimate massager didn't come in a nice pink, so I went with the purple/lavender.

Kkay's summary works for me too. Although practically all shades of pink are shades I won't touch. I use toys I think are attractive much more often than I use ones that don't call to my eyes as much as to my twat.

Yup. I loathe pink with a fiery passion. I don't own a single pink sex toy, and have passed over several toys I wanted, as they didn't come in anything other than pink.

I hate gold, yellow, dark browns, pink, peach, mauve, dark greens... haha a lot...

If I could choose mine would all glow and be neon green... and maybe some bluish purples, dark grey, black, and silver...

I really only like bright colors or black, but I won't not use a toy because I don't like the color, as long as it feels good.

Thanks for all the replies! I think I'm just going to get him the toy. I know that when he's on the sub surrounded by other men and his hands it will begin to look friendly, no matter the color. Plus I want to play with it! Though I am slightly weirded out by the almost corpse-like coloring. Spooky!

I want my toys to be as colorful as possible. So if there is a neglected color, I'll do my best to get it. The Nosy Tickler did make a great bright yellow toy. I need some more orange and some nice greens.

I'm not so fond of realistic colors, but I've got to get a Vixskin one for kicks.
